i’ve been lucky in that I haven’t needed donations in a while, but i recently moved 3 states and between moving costs and deposits on my new apartment i am flat broke. if anyone can throw some change my way to help a girl out, I thought my new job would be paying me earlier but I won’t be getting paid until the 22nd and my bills are really piling up. The lead time on the tornado warning for Mayfield, KY was 2 hours. They had 2 hours since the first warning dropped, and they had days of weather reports and hours of watches posted previous.

This was an intentional move, they had people on the floor as the tornado hit. And now people are dead for $8/hour.

There were inmates of Graves County Jail working at the candle factory as well when it was hit. The ones that were able to escape assisted in the recovery effort.

The jail has not released any information about the possible inmates that may still be stuck inside, but as of 12/12/21, 40 people who had been working in the facility have been rescued, and at least 40 people are unaccounted for and expected to be dead.

As a reminder, inmates in the US are often completely unpaid or paid pennies on the dollar for their labor.

People don’t seem to realize that an overworked nurse might not notice your sepsis symptoms and a tired truck driver might not notice your car when he’s merging into the lane.
