so I have a theory.

vanishing the upside down is going to turn back time. you know the theory that el opened the door’s lock, leading vecna to will? basically switching places with will, sending will to the upside down, while she took his place by mike’s side?

kali says that both she and el are going to vanish once it’s all over. what if destroying the other dimension turns back time, sending them all exactly to where it began?

they’re gonna get to rewrite history, gonna start the story over. I think the last scene is mike & will getting to live a love story as normal people.
