I'll be doing my best to also insert some comic-style lore excerpts between working on moon events for important lore! The prologue comic will be posted before moon one because I am so so reluctant to actually go the the first moon yet LMAO

Frondstar - 93 moons A black ticked she-cat with vitiligo. Former show cat with a strong love for the order clan laws brought to her chaos.

apprentice: Cavepaw

Leafclaw - 19 moons A long-furred pale gray and white she-cat. Made a deputy despite her young age and lack of mentoring an apprentice due to her diligence and care for her clanmates during their travels.

Longbillow - 47 moons A pale gray smoke and white tom. His ghost sense made him the best option for med cat, as their starclan guide, Bluewave, was a med cat in life and is able to pass down her knowledge to her former clanmates.

Mitehaze - 42 moons A long-furred speckled dark ginger and white she-cat. Adores her clanmates! Wants to be friends with Grayswan as she recognizes her from the old housefolk nests.

apprentice: Burrpaw

Shimmerbounce - 20 moons An unusually spotted gray and white tom. Loves playing games with the kits.

Grayswan - 46 moons A long-furred black and white she-cat. Smug and disliked by most of her clanmates, but particularly dislikes Mitehaze.

Burrpaw - 10 moons A long-furred light brown smoke she-cat. Loves everyone, taking after her mentor and caretaker, Mitehaze! Always tries to be a good role model.

Cavepaw - 8 moons A long-furred pale and white she-cat. Can be proud to a fault, and takes a dislike to Leafclaw, thinking she could make a better deputy one day.

Streakkit - 1 moon An unusually dappled brown and white she-cat.

Dancingkit - 2 moons A calico she-cat.

Big TW for pet loss

Hey, clangen tumblr and those who just enjoy the silly cats on this blog. I know it's been a little bit of time since my last update, but unfortunately during the past few months, I have been caring for my closest friend, Comet.

She's been my best friend for 15 whole years, and on February 9th of 2024, I'm sad to say that she has passed. I won't lie when I say that this is one of the hardest posts I've ever made, but I want to continue this blog in her honor. Normally, I have a terrible habit of just letting projects like this slip by me and gather dust; however Comet was meant to play an integral part within the blog to immortalize her, and I refuse to let something meant just for her to go to waste.

I want to thank you all first of all for being such an amazing community. I've genuinely had so much joy come of this blog, and it pains me that I let it go stagnant for as long as I have. There are 568 of you now, which is so extremely wild to me; but I hope that from now on, you can all love Comet as much as I did, even if as a memory.

I hope to return to posting content both here and on my main, @mxssacre , but for now I still need time to grieve and come to terms with the loss of someone that was so incredibly intertwined with everything I've done since I was 9 years old.

Thank you for everything Comet, my heart, my soul, my love.

Thought I'd share some territory concepts I've been working on! Both for Coyoteclan and a second clangen blog I've been debating, which is set in the wild west :)

I'll write a little blurb for each little area under the cut for those curious about these locations (and separate images)

Coyoteclan

Fallen-Tree Coyoteclan's Leader den and clan meeting place. The tree is ancient and hollow, the entrance coated in the scratches of long-gone cats. The Leader calls meetings from atop the tree, while the deputy sits on the rocks below.

Thunder River A small collection of waterfalls that eventually lead to the sea. From here, you can hear an ominous, melodic sound coming from the beach.

Graves of the Fallen The resting place for Coyoteclan cats. Coyoteclan prefer to commune with their dead here, but still go with the other healers during halfmoon.

Sweetwater Wilds

Trail of Blood Untamed land filled with bandits and danger. Not only are there plenty of predatory animals living here, but it's a popular hiding place for many outlaws.

Canyon of Stars A place for communing with the stars. Sheriffs and Healers visit often for guidance, though some bandits are known to come here in secret.

Hareshade's Dawn Not really a place but this is the Sheriff of Sweetwater Wilds lol I really like her but she's SO TRANSPHOBIC she is BULLYING the only trans cat in the clan and I cannot stop her

Hi! I'm doing my own Clangen and there's periods of long inactivity, where nothing happens at all. Have you dealt with that? How do you fill it?

I haven't had too many inactive moons yet, but I have had a few where there's no/very little inactivity, moon 9 being the biggest example of it lol (literally nothing happened at all). When it does happen though, I try defaulting to their relationships with each other and their little uh. personal status blurb under their name? If you can call it that, but I kinda just take it as a bit of free lore/story building time where I get to choose a bit more of what I want them to be doing!

I mean tbh you can go pretty crazy with some of the smallest little things it gives you sometimes. It can be kinda stressful to see "Nothing interesting happened this moon" but the little flavor text and relationship tab can be used as GREAT inspo when you really need it (if coyoteclan was more Rufus-central I could use this to show off how he got where he is)

alternatively you could totally use the longer stretches for world building! Show off some of the territory, maybe your cats have a little quirk to the way they do things that you haven't been able to show off yet. Have something from a previous moon you didn't feel like putting in at the time? Could be great backup content for an empty moon!

And if absolutely nothing happens at ALL for a long while? try skipping a few more moons ahead until you hit something and use that to figure out what your cat's might've done during the quiet!

Went from being praised for having such stunning fur to being shoved in a hole with her loud denmate and some scared apprentice and told her mother died. L Bozo??

No idea what's going on, but she's HUNGRY. Wym her mom just got murdered???

She's SO bad in fact that last moon Cavebright was trying to fix Dancingheart's training while her back is still ACTIVELY BROKEN. Maybe Cavebright's jealousy of Leafclaw being deputy instead of her is not entirely unwarranted...

obviously she can't get up and train them outside but luckily for her Dancingheart will not!! Stay out of the med cat den!! hence the shouting

Thank you!! My art is amazing because you guys are amazing!!!!! I'm not even joking this is the most I've drawn in so long and y'all have motivated me so much I'm almost considering trying to animate again..

ME. TOO. I gasped when I saw her death message. I have two clans with 200+ moons and neither of them have ever had a cat die in a training accident so I thought she was safe :( I had some very specific story lore for her too so I was absolutely SHOCKED

Clangen loved her so much that it didn't want her to go through my silly lore and took her away from me 😭 she was literally my favorite though... I had to get creative in redirecting the lore a bit so now things are gonna be a bit more complicated but hopefully y'all will still love it

Dancingheart is 100% clan favorite. I don't think there's a single cat who dislikes her (at least last I checked, I mean she was literally honoured for her friendliness)
