Hereās where I stand on this subject. Ā In my eyes there are two different copyright topics going on in the vape world. Ā Firstly there are vendors and liquid manufacturers using variations of logos ( or sometimes exact logos ) on their products. Ā Generally this doesnāt bother me, Ā Sure itās Ā lazy and very un-original. Ā But calling your juiceĀ āFroogalā and using the Google logo is between you and Google. Ā (Disclaimer there is no juice that I know of called Froogal juice ) Obviously this will result in a cease and desist letter and a possible copyright lawsuit. Ā But if you want to risk it to sell your crappy product then lawyer up and do it.Ā
Now the other, and far more upsetting issue is people using copyright infringement of logos where the original products are clearly directed at kids. Just on instagram today iāve seen juice lines using the Fruit Roll ups logo, Ā PopTarts logo, Dippin dots logo ETC. Ā These are products for kids. Ā Apart from a select few, when was the last time you saw a grown ass adult eating a fruit roll up?Ā
This is where the problem is. Ā Yes copyright infringement is lazy, un-original, uninspired and illegal. Ā Itās also made 100 times worse when theseĀ ācash grabā companies use logos and branding of products that are clearly marketed to kids!Ā
