it has come to my attention that some people aren’t aware that shelby furbys have their own language!! they speak furbish and english too, but their native language is shelbish.

Graa = Hungry   Kah-eee = Yes  Deeee = Good/Happy  Daah-yee = Light  Maah = No  Uuuuuu = Scared  Aaah-geee = Again/More  Raaak = Hug/Love/Like  Uuu-daa = Down  Reees = Please  Suuue = Sad  Baae = Back  Looow = Health  Shaaah = Shelby/Me

2005 furbies are island dwellers, giving them direct access to coastal regions which leads me to believe 2005 furbies may regularly encounter shelbys. This further implies to me that 2005 furbies’ monster feet are for cracking open shelby shells for consumption. Sorry shelby :/ u a snacc

no way, if they ate shelbies then their beaks would be more parrotlike so they could get into the meat easier. the way their beaks are shaped and how theyre more of just a beak covered by skin makes me think they eat mostly tropical fruit and the big feet are just for getting pineapples and such open

interesting, but you’ll notice that in captivity, the fleshy outer covering of an 05’s beak is extremely prone to tearing. given this, i propose the theory that only juvenile 05s are meant to subsist on a fruit based diet. as they grow and learn the skills necessary for hunting, they transition to an omnivorous diet, and their “fruit beak” falls away much like a human child’s “milk teeth”.

i see! a very good theory indeed, though have you considered that, with this new harder beak and strong feet, the furby could eat tree nuts? ofc shellbies are still a possibility but thats a big fella! unless 05 furbies live in colonies its unlikely theyd eat such big boys, plus their big feet could be used to dig the ground to store nuts for the winter much like a squirrel

Going off of Furby Island (the movie) lore it does appear that they live in community groupings so it is possible for perhaps hunter furbies to bring back a Shelby for the colony to feast upon, though your nut theory does seem very fitting as well to explain the size and force of their feet..
