I wrote this post(https://pepperrikka.tumblr.com/post/152761199129/httpstwittercomjumpolicestatus79447710019118) and I think i have to add some information for western fandom.

Kubo sensei’s 8th editor Toya san
Who is Kubo sensei’s favorite heroine?
In Kubo sensei’s mind, Orihime is the heroine character and Rukia is a nakama
I see
Like an aibou
A feeling like an aibou
相棒=あいぼう=aibou partner, buddy(not a love relationship)
ヒロイン=heroine heroine(a love relationship in this context)
It is very interesting, isn’t it?
Editor’s words are the same as voice actors’s words 10 years ago.
Radio program in March 2006.
Matsuoka Yuki- Orihime’s voice actor Morita Masakazu- Ichigo’s voice actor
I heard “Rukia is a semi protagonist(準主役) and Orihime is a heroine(ヒロイン)” and I realized it after a year.
Matsuoka あたし I
Am a heroine!
I see.
However, that, when soul society ended.
Morita あの言葉、あの、由貴ちゃんも好きな-あのなんだっけ、ルキ、ルキアは- That word, that, Yuki-chan also likes, what was that, Ruki, Rukia-
Yeah Yeah, “Kuchiki-san is the one who changed Kurosaki-kun’s world.”
It is sad.
It is sad, however, I felt strongly that it is heroine’s word.
That is the heroine.

10 years ago, okay? Kubo clearly said “Rukia is not a heroine, however, she is a semi protagonist. Orihime is a heroine.”(Matsuoka knew it since 2005).
Voice actors said that in a radio 10 years ago. Kubo’s editors(not only Toya-san) also knew it. Kubo and WSJ made Jump heroine posters that include Orihime. His 8th editor said that in TV.
And don’t say “Kubo betrayed us.”
I know some people called Matsuoka a liar during 10 years.
Mrs Hudson: Well, on you go. Examine him.

Kubo Tite (BLEACH) twitter
Kubo’s latest twitter posts (2016/11/16) made me cry damnit. His story really touched me and I’d like to share it with BLEACH fans who can’t read Japanese:
[Note: Kubo quit twitter once in the past due to certain difficulties, but returned a few weeks ago.]
BLEACH ended 3 months ago. The feeling that there was still something he needed to do, was constantly on his mind. That’s why, firstly, he’d like to use twitter as a platform to say thank you to his readers.
[Left image: Thank you very much]
He managed to write BLEACH for 15 years. He says he managed to write BLEACH’s final chapter the way he had decided to since chapter 1.
This is all thanks to the readers. He has received ten thousands of fan letters over the years. From 3 year old children to 78 year old ladies. He has read and kept every single letter. They helped him push through whenever he felt like giving up.
But his health started deteriorating in the 10th year.
His doctor told him it was just a cold. In the past, he would get better in a day or so. But this suddenly changed. He’d be bedridden for a week. Whenever JUMP Magazine would have a double issue [and therefore be on a break the next week], he’d stay in bed the entire week to rest. But after a while, that stopped working too. Whenever he thought he was better, he’d get a cold again. No matter what he did. It was an endless cycle.
He felt pathetic. He felt he was failing as a mangaka. A mangaka is someone who delivers a manga with a set quality within a set time. So should he really continue the series? Should he stop? But the story is only halfway finished. What should he do? How should he end it? He thought about this every, every, every single day.
But then he got a letter. One letter. It had no name or address on it.
It was from a sick boy. His medicine had stopped working and he was now hospitalized, stuck in bed. He was unable to enjoy anything, because whenever he’d watch TV or play games, he’d be reminded of the times he had spent with his friends. He learned his sickness was incurable. If so, he wanted to die right away. But he was told to please live the days he had left: 18 months.
The boy wrote that he had decided to immerse himself in the world of manga as a way to enjoy his last days. He read various manga and ended up discovering BLEACH. The thought of “wanting to read the next volume of BLEACH” was the first time since his hospitalization that he had thought about “tomorrow”. BLEACH changed his world. BLEACH gave him life again.
The boy had asked this letter to be sent after his death. In other words, the boy has already passed on.
The letter ended with the words: “Kubo-sensei, I have one final request. Please draw BLEACH the way you want to draw it, right until its conclusion. That’s what I want to read.”
…
Kubo has one request to the people reading his message. He asks for people to help him find out who wrote the letter. He understands this is a difficult and selfish request, however: “I want to express my gratitude towards him. Because, he is unable to read this thank-you manga.”
T/N: I know we can’t help him out because we’re not in Japan, but I felt this story is too beautiful not to be shared.
UPDATE: I reread the tweets to double-check myself and it seems I missed one important line. I updated above with: “He says he managed to write BLEACH’s final chapter the way he had decided to after writing chapter 1.“
Also, if you’re gonna bitch about Kubo and/or BLEACH’s ending, make your own post. I don’t want to see it.
I bet those people who shitted on the ending feels like shit now. I almost cried reading this.
Why I only didcover it just now? 😢
For those who said that Kubo didn't finish Bleach the way he wanted just because they don't get the pairings they want, those who said that Kubo was shitty mangaka, those who said that Kubo didn't know his own story, I just wanna say..
why are people saying Rukia is being OOC in the novel bc of how she acts with renji? she’s in love with him, of course she’s going to act like it.
do you remember this?
at the thought of her beloved older brother caring for her, she blushes and looks away
rukia isn’t a cold person. she loves intensely and expressively.
for example:
look at the way she treats her 2 best friends, she’s very open about how much she cares about them. she even named her daughter after both of them.
of course she would act in love with renji in the novel about her wedding with him. she is canonically in love with him.
if y’all actually cared about rukia’s character beyond ichiruki you’d see that it isn’t OOC. the only OOC it is, is OOC to your ichiruki headcanons.
Well, what do you keep telling me for? What am I supposed to do? I’m nothing special.
Bleach Movie
It looks like the movie is going to so a SS arc type story with maybe a little HM arc, but if it’s just SS src that’s fine. But do you know what would be hilarious if the director decides to follow the Manga’s story instead of following the story from the anime. What I’m trying to get a what would be funny is the Ichihime moments from the manga that the Pierrot failed to put into the anime. What would crack me up is if the Bleach fandom (mostly Ichiruki fans who only watched the anime) would say “Oh now that Ichihime is canon the movie is going to start adding Ichihime moments that never happened.”
Director: “It did happen in the manga that Kubo wrote.”
Ichirukie Fans: “He’s a shitty writer anyways whi made Orihime Ichigo’s wife. Just make the movie the way it was supposed to be with Ichiruki shit that Studio decided to add because Ichiruki is more popular.”
Director: “No!”
Ichiruki Fans: “You’re a Shity Director too!” LMAO!!
I want to share with you all what happened 5 years ago with Kubo on his Twitter account after he adressed an Orihime hater (Anti ichihime). I know that many people got angry at Kubo and said that his response was unprofessional but we all know who are these “always angry people” lol. Keep in mind that kubo was new to twitter at that time and some “fans” kept tweeting him hatefull things about Inoue so he decided to respond to one of them :
“それから、下の子のツイート見て、普通のルキアファンは(下の子は「ルキアが好きで、織姫が嫌い」な子です 。)ショックを受けるかも知れないけど、あれで俺の中のルキアファンの心証が悪くなることは無いから安心し て下さい。” And then, I saw the kid’s tweet below, and it might have been shocking to normal Rukia fans (The kid below said, “I love Rukia and I hate Orihime”.), but it didn’t give me any bad impressions of Rukia fans, so please don’t worry.
“俺がRTしたことで雑言を見てしまった織姫のファンや、気楽にBLEACHを楽しんでる読者のみんなも、申 し訳ない。ただ、他人の意見で俺の描き方が変わる可能性はゼロなので、そこは心配しないで下さ い。” To Orihime fans and readers who nonchalantly enjoy BLEACH that unfortunately saw the abusive language when I retweeted it: I apologize. However, there is zero possibility that I’ll change the way I draw to suit others, so please don’t worry about it.
The anti-Orihime fans got mad and they started dissing Kubo this time calling him a shitty mangaka, he responded to a couple of them, then wrote a rant about the hate issues that many people has toward Inoue and his work in general and this is what he said :
“才能も無く、努力もせず、そのくせ与えられるものに不平を言って、努力する人間の足しか引っ張 れないような 奴は、目を瞑ってどっか隅っこに挟まって、口だけ開けて雨と埃だけ食って辛うじて生きてろ。” Those without talent and who make no efforts, yet still complain about what they get and can only drag down those who do make efforts – they ought to just close their eyes, stick themselves in some corner, and open their mouths and eat only rain and dust and just barely survive.
“もしBLEACHよりも面白いものが描ける才能があるなら、すぐに漫画家になるべきだ。面白け れば必ずBL EACHより成功する。絵が描けないと言うのなら、努力して編集者になって漫画家にアドバイスすべきだ 。本 当に能力があれば、どこへ行っても歓迎される。” If you have the talent to draw something more interesting than BLEACH, you should become a manga artist right away. If it’s interesting, it will definitely be more successful than BLEACH. And if you say you can’t draw, then you should put the effort in, become an editor, and advise manga artists. If you really have the ability, you will be welcomed wherever you go.”
He had the pressure build in for a long time and the shipping wars finally triggered him to blown up. He choose to deal with them personally, and even advisied them to stop reading HIS manga. That’s why i’m always telling y'all that we don’t have to prove anything to these haters.
For me, ichihime is one of the few things that helps me turn what could be a bad day into something better, and i guess it’s the same for other IH shippers, so why don’t we avoid the unnecessary drama and just enjoy our ship by just blocking and ignoring them, the dude knows what he’s doing, just keep in mind that their whining and complaining won’t change anything.
How I love Kubo and how good he is at conveying emotions. I want to thank him so much for allowing us to be the privileged witnesses of this very intimate and life changing moment in their relationship. The now added knowledge of Ichigo’s choice of words makes it all the more moving and so very sweet. He must have felt so vulnerable baring his heart to her like that. I haven’t been this happy for them since finding out about Kazui. They’ve touched our hearts in so many ways, I could cry. From the first time they ever met (under such tragic circumstances) to becoming friends when they were 15, growing closer and closer, falling deeply in love with each other which led to marriage and a beautiful son. What a wonderful ride. I couldn’t possibly ask for more.
With the illustration of Byakuya and Rukia, for context:
Byakuya mentions happiness (”…shiwase ni”) that only Rukia hears
Rukia nearly tears up [at the sentimentality], Byakuya exhales and tells her not to cry and puts a hand on her shoulder to encourage her along to the front where the priest and Renji are.
(That’s why she looks deeply surprised due to her being emotionally moved/blessed by her brother.)
Also I love the little details about her veil! It really emphasizes how pure pure white it is and the golden embroidery done on it and how it shines like the sunset (?).
Ichigo and Orihime both seem to be taking photographs with their cameras (or just Ichigo? With Orihime next to him). He is really snapping those photos step by step and capturing everything of the ceremony (boi just video it).
Edited to add/correct: both Ichigo and Orihime have cameras. Orihime took some photographs of Rukia after the ceremony and says she looks cute.
I wonder how IRs would react, since they were pretty sure that the illustration showed Byakuya’s refusal and Rukia’s unhappiness on the marriage.
It bothers me that some people have been influenced by some posts misunderstanding Renji’s character (many times on purpose, because of shipping reasons, mainly done by some IR fans, people who read the manga the way they want to see it, to favor their pairing and blame Renji for everything in his relationship with Rukia to make him look bad, basically the same that they always do with Orihime) that blame Renji of things that the manga itself has demonstrated false, or people simply don’t take into account the situations.
So they are falling into the trap and they try to defend and justify Renji and RenRuki, accepting the accusations as if they are true, saying that this happened long time ago, or that Renji’s character has developed from that. I think that this way of “defending” is even worse, because the manga itself proves that most of the accusations are false.
Renji has made mistakes, I don’t have any problem in blaming Renji of his mistakes, I love that Renji made mistakes, because they make him a more credible character and his story is much more interesting like this. But some mistakes that he is being accused of are simply false.
The flaw that Kubo has dedicated most time about Renji is his lack of self-confidence, and his low self-esteem/inferiority complex, which made that Renji had a defeatist attitude and a lack of determination, which was developed during the SS arc.
In his relationship with Rukia, Renji’s main mistake was to let Rukia go to be adopted, not telling her his true feelings, which affected greatly their relationship, and so this has been the mistake that Kubo has dedicated most of the time about what Renji had to fix in his relationship with Rukia, and was the mistake that Kubo gave a scene where Renji tries to fix it:
Kubo has never treated other supposed mistakes in his relationship with Rukia that Renji is blamed of, and they would have been treated if they were true, so Kubo should have dedicated time to have Renji to say sorry to Rukia about them (and, in fact, Kubo had Rukia saying sorry to Renji), but this has never happened because it’s simply people misunderstanding the manga (many times on purpose) or demanding Renji to be a perfect and irreal character who it seems has to be perfectly correct and an hero in every situation for people (mainly IR fans) to accept him.
I’ve already done before various posts that treated the subjects that Renji is being accused of, explaining why most of these accusations are either simply false or they are superficial interpretations because people have overlooked important things or the circunstances:
-About Renji’s attitude in the first chapters that he appeared:
http://tumblrhalix.tumblr.com/post/21492459414/id-like-to-analyze-the-first-encounter-between
- About Renji and Rukia’s situation during the time of their separation:
http://tumblrhalix.tumblr.com/post/151812815358/i-usually-pass-over-most-posts-that-because-of
http://tumblrhalix.tumblr.com/post/142813319553/kagomesangos-gekroent-i-just-saw-a-post
http://tumblrhalix.tumblr.com/post/51960229832/renji-and-rukias-separation
-About Renji and Jackie’s fight:
http://tumblrhalix.tumblr.com/post/107886988908/missminabee-i-didnt-notice-this-before-but
But what most bothers me is that sometimes people try to justify Renji’s attitude, especially about the matter of his treatment to Rukia in the first chapters and his words to Jackie later, as character development, as if Renji was previously a man who hit women, an abuser, and that his character has developed from that O_o. This is ridiculous and absolutely false because Renji has never been showed like that in his past, and the circunstances when he had to capture Rukia and his words to Jackie have a different motivation.
In fact, the fanbook 13 Blades mentioned Renji’s words to Jackie as a characteristic of Renji’s character, they don’t relate it to Rukia at all, and, in fact, they imply that it can be related to living in the Rukongai, what seems to indicate that Renji had seen abuses to women in the Rukongai, so because of this he is especially sensitive about the matter:
“ 女性に優しい恋次. そして流魂街出身の恋次だからこそ, 余計に深く響く言葉である.”
“Renji is kind to women. Because he was raised in Rukongai, his words resonate even more deeply.”
Other reasons that some people give to explain Renji’s character in the first chapters are that Kubo changed Renji’s character later, so Kubo changed his mind or decided later about Renji’s role in the series, and because of this he seems an agressive character in the first chapters and later is more caring and worried for Rukia. Well, I refuted this in the the post I did about Renji in the first chapters that he appeared (one of the links I put), that it clearly explains that Kubo already shows that Renji was worried about Rukia in those chapters, even since the first page that he appeared in the manga, and gives some reasons about why Renji acted like he did it.
About which was the role that Kubo had thought for Renji at that time, since the moment that Kubo named Renji with a Kanji that it means “romantic love” or “in love”: http://tumblrhalix.tumblr.com/post/80005255611/renjis-name , it’s obvious that Kubo had already thought about Renji’s feelings for Rukia, that in his story romantic love would be important. Even in the volume where are those first chapters with Renji, volume 7, is also included the Radio-Kon with Rukia, where are implied for the first time Renji’s romantic feelings for Rukia (apart from the hint in his own name), where Rukia talks about a boy in the academy that picked on her when she met him on the corridors because he liked her. And later Kubo drew chapter -17 (during the academy days, included in volume 15) where Renji did exactly that. So it seems Kubo had already thought about Renji and Rukia going together to the academy and Renji being in love with Rukia even when he wrote the Radio-kon, in volume 7.
Even there are some hints in those first chapters about the problems of the separation that had between Renji and Rukia, because Rukia is shocked to see Renji, and she calls Renji by his first name, Renji, so this already demonstrated closeness, and after she says his complete name, as if she was seeing someone that she hadn’t seen or interacted with in a long time.
That Renji and Rukia knew each other and were close is obvious from their first interactions, they treated each other with much familiarity, and Renji shows to knew Rukia’s personality pretty well, when he knew that she would try to help Ichigo. Besides, Renji introduced himself as being from the Rukongai, the same as Rukia (Renji being from the Kuchiki family is a mistranslation of the scanlation group at that time: http://tumblrhalix.tumblr.com/post/51216324043/just-another-stray-star-alright-so-i-was ) , and knew that Rukia had been adopted by the Kuchiki family.
It’s obvious that Kubo wanted to mislead the readers about these new characters in the manga, Renji and Byakuya, to show them as a threat, and we know that Kubo likes a lot to do this, because he has done it many times in the manga, but with Renji Kubo already showed even in those first chapters not only hints, but proofs about Renji’s true face, that indeed Renji was worried about Rukia, even since the first page that Renji appeared in this manga:
