After more than two years, my main account @DrDarine has been terminated. This account was not just a social media profile. It was the platform through which I shared my family's suffering with the world, especially Mariam's stories. It was my only way to connect with people, raise awareness about our situation, and make our voices heard.

In very brief summary:

● Many of our family members were killed during this war.

● We lost everything, especially our HOME, our heaven, and now we live in a tent with rent.

● Faced unimaginable displacements and famine, and we continue to suffer from illness caused by the harsh living conditions here in Gaza.

still so sad about my friendship break up years ago. like this was my best friend and i have friends but the label best friend felt like it was reserved for her and it’s difficult for me to feel that way about anyone else.

it’s also kind of affected the way i make friendships now. it’s harder for me and i feel like unloved because there is no one really that is so close as she was or wants to be the way she was to me.

i miss her and wish we never had such a fallout bc she was my bestest friend in the world :( i miss her so much.
