I’ve been finishing up my new personal gshade preset while updating my Soft Static save with new builds I’ve found. Pics include a seasonal park (nocturne-vi), law office & gallery in the Arts Quarter (both from the gallery), and a communal work space & karaoke lounge in the Spice District (nocturne-vi).

Silent Pines, 1998 - V.2

Special Credit: Silent Pines is heavily inspired by and uses a very similar style to the stunning @windbrook savefile by @folkling, the gorgeous portsim savefile by @florwal, and the amazing builds by @moonwoodmillz. Thank you all for your hard work, I take a lot of inspiration from you all.

Silent Pines is a base-game only save file inspired by Life is Strange with 3 major worlds, a whole new set of townies, and a complete mystery to solve.

I used S4Studio to rename all the worlds, and I've decorated all the neighbourhoods with T.O.O.L. As I said before, Silent Pines is completely base-game friendly, absolutely no packs or kits are used. There is some custom CC, mainly posters that add to the story. The CC is one package file and adds nothing other than some customisation to the story. It is not required.

For example the missing poster of Cleo Emerson, a girl who disappeared under mysterious circumstances;

DISCLAIMER: Only Silent Pines (Willow Creek) has the mystery to solve; the other 2 worlds are just for playing in. Also, the 'Harris' household has been notoriously difficult to load into, for which I apologise. If you'd like to explore their house, please bring a sim to visit them <3

just a few helpful notes:

built using GShade lastest version (has not been tested on earlier versions or Reshade) 🌸 edit: someone said it works with reshade!

uses quint shaders

tested in daylight, dusk, and nighttime — especially dreamy during golden hour

optimized for screenshots and all modes of gameplay

turn off MXAO/DOF in gameplay for smoother performance

screenshots above taken with Milk Thistle lighting mod, but works well with Sunblind. Here are some examples using Sunblind (1 & 2)

Please note: This preset used the old preset ellcrze 2.0 as a base. I have included a comparison of the original preset to how mine now looks after years of making tweaks and downloading new shaders etc. If the creator of the og ever returns and requests I remove the preset I will do so. My intentions are just to share my preset with the community and also wanted to give credit where credit was due.

During the day, San Myshuno had offered her small, orderly moments – the scent of perfectly cooked samosas from a market stall drifting on the wind, a coin dropped into a fountain with a wish she didn’t linger on. Nothing dramatic, just enough magic to acknowledge the unique city moments, check off her to-do list, then move past. By evening, Tamsin returned to her routine. The steady hum of the elliptical, muscles burning and then rewarding herself with something from the comfort of her kitchen. Even the emails that lit up her phone promised to bring even more clarity and discipline into her life. One email stood out to her, only because it didn’t try to. Forwarded resources. Practical context. A line about wishing someone had done the same for him once. Tamsin found she liked that too. The thoughtfulness without expectation and the steadiness of it. Working alongside someone like that made sense… and unexpectedly, caught her attention. She set her phone down and exhaled. Everything felt aligned, yet something shifted. Not static, not yet. Just a faint awareness that stillness was only temporary.

2026 Sims Goals (while I ignore all sims dying news because it's my storytelling happy place)

write/pose/edit a sim story again (its been years)

continue playing my forever save in between (no burnout allowed)

create a new gshade preset (something a bit more hazy, velvet)

townie makeover downloads (it's happening)

write a legacy challenge (definitely dramatic & romance-oriented)

reorganize and downscale my mod folder (130gb rn)

stay consistent & positive (completely doable right???)
