It’s okay to work your way to the hard novels
I know that the most popular books seem like the best place to start, as many people adore them and heavily recommend them.
But the problem is most of the popular books end up being harder ones, as they are full of symbolism, underlying words and meanings, they are books filled to the brim and threaten to break the spine.
Don’t FORCE your way through the book because you want to read it. If it’s outside of your range, read something a little easier. There’s no harm in working your way back up to your desired book.
Would you want to take advanced placement calculus if you haven’t mastered algebra??
Random on tumblr: I hate Oscar Wilde, he was evil.
Me: *putting on my lavender gloves* What was that? You wanna try that again?
Random: He was a mysoginst and pedophile and deserved everything he got.
Me: Robbie, hold my absinthe. I’m going in. Nobody f*cks with my dandy.

This is the hauntingly beautiful Shelley Memorial at Oxford. Commissioned to “depict” how his drowned body looked washed ashore. I hope to view this in person one day. Photo source: http://hcshakespeare.blogspot.com/
the first people to ever use terms of endearment for each other must have been so in love i'm in tears just thinking about it
Mary Shelley began writing her novel Frankenstein when she was only 18 years old. It started one night in Switzerland during a party with her friends, where they challenged each other to write a ghost story. Out of that simple challenge she created one of the most beloved monsters in history.

“The state lies in all the tongues of good and evil; and whatever it says it lies; and whatever it has it has stolen. Everything in it is false; it bites with stolen teeth, and bites often. It is false down to its bowels.” - Friedrich Nietzsche
