I wanna talk about my experience of actually having to consider having an abortion cuz it was definitely not fun, and the resources the pro life and pro choice movement gives you. btw both kinda suck.

First of I was scared as hell specially bc if I dicided to go through with an abortion it would have to be a medicine induced (misoprostol) one in a hotel/Airbnb room because in my state the legalization is still in process and clinics are rare and extremely expensive.

I looked up all kinds of information I could find from t how this was going to affect me and my so to how to do it safely. Neither the pro choice nor the prolife movement provide the whole picture. All the information I found was either severely pro abortion, just pushing me to go through with it without explaining the mental health consequences, nor the pain I would go through in the medical induced one. Or severely pro life condemning me to a long life of suffering and relationship problems if I went through with it and not providing any information to be as safe as possible.

At the end of the day both movements have a lot to work on and there should definitely exist a middle ground where information to have a safe abortion is provided at the same time of explaining the full consequences of it. Thankfully my test came back negative and I had full support from my boyfriend on whatever decision I made but it still was some extremely stressful time of no sleep looking up testimonies of women that have gone through with it, how an embryo develops, planned parenthood articles and more.
