For most of his life, Minimus has lived at the very end of two extremes at the same time. It’s never quite come easy to him. The grey area left room for nuance and uncertainty, both things he never quite had the time for. It was easier, instead, to pretend he lived only at one, while ignoring the other.
Easier to focus on his job within the Primal Vanguard instead of thinking about how small living in his brother’s shadow made him feel. Easier to focus on the rules of the Autobot code than to acknowledge that not all former Decepticons were the same. Easier to focus on Megatron being a bad person than to trust in his feelings for him. Easier to pretend that Magnus was all that he was, and Minimus would amount to nothing.
Of course, that was then, and this is now.
