any of you ever been flashbanged before?

The last time we played that game, you got mad when we all walked into each other

Why do I develop crushes to the worst possible people?
Sincerely, me.
Everyone falls for Starscream, or SkyWarp.
I won’t judge you too much.
Happy 2022 y'all.
I hate doing this. I always hate doing this. Anyone who knows me knows that.
I had a blowout happen just as I was hitting interstate and I had to use bill money to have someone come and help with the tire. (For the record I can change a goddamn tire by myself, but a cop stopped and made us call a tow truck.) Thankfully a friend is helping me out and I have enough to pay for the rest of my bills due this month, but I don’t currently have a job, I have no money for next month’s bills, and I certainly don’t have money for a new tire.
I absolutely hate asking, but if I could get any help it would really be appreciated. Paypal, ko-fi, commissions… anything. I’m desperate. Things just keep happening like this and I don’t know what else to do at this point.

Thundercracker was looking ahead as they left the medbay and headed towards the exit. Sure, the proper thing to do would be to let Knockout go about his business, but he wasn’t about to be proper. He had spent time with the separate individuals of team prime or really he had a bit of a probationary period. Each member evaluated him and such and proving that he was docile, he was trusted with enough freedom for him to be satisfied. Sure he had been met with hard feelings for not removing his badges.
It would be like erasing the past, although some would argue it would be better to, and he didn’t want that because his past led him to who he was now. He glanced back at the verbal jab and tilted his helm. “It’s funny how it was autobots who found me and rescued me, but the war is over, no point in holding grudges.” He looked forward, a tired expression on his face. No, not now, right now they were going to race.
Once they stepped outside of the building, TC looked around and hummed. “I don’t expect anything out of you except here in the present: a race with some stakes. The future will eventually arrive with the results. Besides, two little grounders have been calling you a hermit and a shut in, so maybe this will get them to mind their business, seeing you outside.” Picking a direction, he started forward again, holding his servo the entire way… although it lightened up just a smidge.
“Prove it. It seems to me you are acting ‘chicken’ to the thought of a race. To think, such behavior from a Velocitronian too~”
KNOCKOUT WOULD HOLD his grudges until he died. Until his last hissing vent. He was proud, if nothing else. At the end of it all, he hated both the Autobots and the Decepticons.
The light outside are bright, and it pains him. Leaving his vision far too blurry for his liking. Reminding him just how bad of a shape he was actually in.
“Shove it up your tail pipe, I could care less about what two sparklings have to say about me.” Yet he is pulled along, little choice in the matter. Just letting Thundercracker lead him off. There should be warning bells going off. Letting this seeker drag him off, but KnockOut found little care in the potential dangers.
Stoked by pride and anger. “I’d be more than happy too, if you’d let go of me.” Once again insulted by the seeker. Velocitronian pride running hot through his frame. It was who he was before all else.
“WOULD YOU LIKE to start with the fact you just nearly deafened me?“ KnockOut bit. The sound of his own voice was pathetic to him. Soft, wheezing, and dry. Speaking too fast and too slow at the same time.
Something like a growl rumbled in his chest. Low, and gravelly. A mimic of a sound he’d learned from the stuntIcons. “I’m fine.” Then slowly he repeated. “I’m fine.”
The overheating wasn’t something he was concerned about now that he was certain it was only his engine. It was an unfortunate, but regular occurrence among Velocitronians. Built for such high speeds they could withstand heat much higher than their Cybertronian counterparts. Still overheating was a common occurrence, and only dangerous at temperatures much higher… or with damaged vents. Neither factored in here. As long as he kept cycling air and watching his core temperature there should be little lasting damage. Though, it may be time he gave a call to Lockdown.
”Just give me a moment. I’ll cool down.”
“Sorry!” Was the quick response for Thundercracker. He lowered his wings and rubbed the back of his neck struts. “I got caught up in having to get to my top speed to beat you and well, I forgot I wasn’t racing a seeker who’d be immune to it..” would that quell Knockout’s rage? Nope. It would probably become worse at this point. He didn’t leave Knockout’s side though, keeping his servos near to feel the radiating heat without touching the other.
Honestly his wings hadn’t stopped taking a reading of their surroundings. It was a constant feed of temp, wind direction, any weather changes, but he focused in on how the data he received was of abnormally high heat. He didn’t wait as his expression became serious and unwavering. Knockout was not fine…
The next thing that happened was TC scooping up Knockout and kicking on his thrusters, lifting them both in the air. Primus, he was so light, and the heat was burning less at least. “I’ve sent a message back to Ratchet.” His tone was no nonsense, that of a soldier accustomed to helping a comrade back from the battlefield. His arms tightened under KO’s knees and behind his back, holding him close, and took off back towards Iacon. Optics were narrowed and his dentae clenched together.
There was going to be a rude awakening to how terrible Knockout’s state of self had become when they would get back. Something felt off about this but at least the Velocitronian would get to experience fast speeds with no effort.

The end was right there…. Might as well revel in the victory. Thundercracker rose higher off the ground in a barrel roll and nearly went vertical with the cliff, only to transform mid air and land on the edge. “Hahaaa! Still the faste—“
Knockout wasn’t at the cliff yet.
Slowly he looked back from where they were traveling, only to see Knockout kneeling. He jumped off the cliff without another thought, changing back into his alt mode and took off. It was like he was racing with time, which always felt worse. It always felt like he was losing.
Within half a minute he transformed mid air and landed roughly on his pedes. “Knockout!” He reached out only to yelp when his servo rested on his shoulder, only to get burned. That’s when he realized Knockout was at a dangerous level of overheating. He scrambled to open his own subspace to pull out an emergency canister of coolant and opened it.
“It’s not a lot, but drink this— SLOWLY!!”
THE TOUCH WAS barely registered. The voice still far away, tingling as KnockOut continued to adjust settings.
”I’m a fucking doctor don’t you dare order me around.” His biting reply was weak, but still managed to hold all the venom he felt. His blurry vision barely made out the canister held out to him. If not for the sound of his vents hurriedly cycling air he would have been silent. Somehow still able to snatch the container from him with surprising speed and quickness.
He recognized the coolant quickly. Cursing once more all he’d lost with Breakdown. An always handy spare tire. A nurse who always carried coolant injections… So much more. So much that he never thought to worry about for so long.
It was cold on his tongue, and it made him nauseous as he drank. Something he knew was bound to happen no matter how fast or slow he drank it. He coughed with the last drop of it.
Shame and humiliation blended in with his panic. Panic barely soothed by the radiation readings in his diagnostics.
“You’re an idiot. I should kill you.” KnockOut spat.
There was so much more to worry about now. He’d broken, showed weakness. Something he closely associated with death. A well-learned lesson from over his many years as an officer. Nothing about this was likely to end well.
Thundercracker only flinched a little bit dared to stay close, ready to catch him if he fell. internally he was panicking though, what if Knockout was dying?!! At the comment about his intelligence and that he should be killed, he blinked and lowered his wings. “If you weren’t feeling ok to race you could have brought that up…”
His servos were at the ready to catch Knockout though, worry written all over his face. “Geez, tell me how you really feel.” He said sarcastically and looked back to Iacon. They weren’t that far, he could manage carrying the speedster. “So you’re overheating…. Is there anything else I should be panicking over?!”

1… 2…. 3…
Thundercracker shot forward, not nearly at full speed, but he quickly changed his effort. It was a gleeful delight to have Knockout put so much distance between them already. Soon his engine was blaring with a ferocity like no other. He had no clue how unwell the mech was, it was a shame, he would have forfeit though. He flew low to the ground, almost level to KO’s height, spewing dust and debris behind him.
4… 5… 6….
He felt the resistance of the air around him as a thin ‘shield’ of vapor started to form at his nose and wingtips. Knockout was coming up fast ahead and just as he caught up, the sound barrier was starting to be sliced by his very body.
BOOM
TC pierced it at his full speed and passed the Velocitronian’s right flank, leaving the sound of his path behind him. This was why he wasn’t allowed to fly near buildings still under construction.

“Careful now, don’t you know to never dare a seeker?” Thundercracker walked back to Knockout and looked over at the cliff. “Fair enough.” The excitement was palpable, the revving of KO’s engine got TC giddy. He leaped into the air and transformed, thrusters helping him hover in place. His HUD zeroed in on the cliff a few miles away. It wouldn’t be long to reach it but it would be long enough for a circuit tingling race.
“On our marks….”
This was it, he would give KO a few feet to get the initial traction at least. That was entirely fair.
“GO!”
