barely anyone sees my posts. this is both a blessing and a curse

its so funny to me how the uma musume writers reverse engineered the autistic savant trope/stereotype with air shakur but shes a girl so nobody notices

like. lets go through it ok. shes stood out from everyone since childhood, and never gotten along with others, even noted by her elementary school teachers. shes intense about her interests to where she devotes all her free time to them, becoming extremely skilled in these areas. she doesnt understand complicated social interactions like giving gifts. she has a strong aversion to noise to the point where she stays up at night and never eats in the cafeteria. she even explicitly states she gets less irritated (overstimulated) when shes able to be somewhere quiet. both her casual outfit and racewear display a preference for comfort (at least compred to most of the outfits in these games), which could imply other sensory issues. her preference for neon colors could even be a form of sensory seeking but that might be a stretch. her hobbies are all centered around introverted activities that cna be done in quiet spaces, like coding, music production (ironically) (another form of sensory seeking?), watching soccer, and playing video games (though she does canonically do pvp). her "evil looking" smile could arguably be her struggling with facial expressions. communicates very directly. intimidating and considered "rude" to others. considers giving up on racing entirely before she even begins because of her code results, which can clearly be interpreted as rigid/black and white thinking. her refusing to include emotions in her code because it'd be too complicated despite everything else in her code also being complicated. in fact, her inability to identify her own emotions along with others could both also point to autism. the way her real-life counterpart is referred to as "extremely sensitive" and how they reflected that in the game, with neurodivergent people being called sensitive constantly. theres probably more i cant even remember . its everrywhere?!??!

this whole moment is so telling because not only is she comfortable enough at this point to start acting playful, it also shows that she paid enough attention to how you reacted the last time this happened to remember & use it against you. wholesome in her own fucked up way

the nice thing about self inserting into uma musume is every character is technically the main character and treated as such, so you dont really have to restrain yourself too much. you can pretty much add as much zest as you want and itll still feel balanced because uma musume characters are just Like That
