JUBILIFE VILLAGE
The central hub of both the Hisui region and the game itself. You are recruited into the Galaxy Expedition Team as a member of the survey corps and tasked with compiling the region's very first Pokedex. In the era this game takes place in, Humans and Pokemon still live separately, and Pokemon are mysterious and often dangerous creatures.

As previously mentioned, Jubilife Village acts as a central hub for the region and the game itself. It seems they're taking a Monster Hunter approach with this game, with the region being sectioned off into (very large) areas rather than one seamless open world.
Professor Laventon is a member of Galaxy Team's survey corps and conducts research on Pokemon's modes of life. His goal is to create a complete Pokedex of the region's local Pokemon species.
Commander Kamado The boss of Galaxy team. He's stern, but has earned the trust of the team members. Its strongly hinted that he is the ancestor of Professor Rowan
Captain Cyllene The leader of Galaxy Team's survey Corps. She is strict with herself and others, but after seeing the potential of the protagonist, allows them to take the trial to enter the Survey Corps. It is strongly hinted that she is the ancestor of Cyrus, the omnicidal leader of the villainous Team Galactic in the modern era
