A small shitpost.

I feel a bit awkward offering this, but honestly, I'm not asking or forcing anyone. Alright... if anyone wants to, you can draw Einarr interacting with your OCs. He's traveled the world (all over the map) for many years and has become a wandering trader during that time. And I have a feeling he might have met many people. In my headcanon, all characters from all authors exist in the same world, but are scattered across the map in such a way that they rarely cross paths and maybe don't even know about each other.

Einarr is a quiet guy who, as soon as trouble starts, immediately disappears without getting involved. He doesn't get close to anyone because he'll be leaving soon anyway. He doesn't talk about himself and doesn't always explain what or who he's looking for. He arrives seeking shelter and then leaves immediately, never to return. I understand there are many wandering traders, but Einarr is more... detached. It sometimes seems like he forgets he's a trader and only offers deals when asked.

I'm just very curious about how other characters would react to such an odd individual…

Oh Polly by a hundred chunks, there's no competition.

Contrary to what some may believe; Illagers do dance! Dancing is athletic and builds team spirit!!

Nil isn't much of a dancer, doesn't know any dances other than maybe something basic that every Villager knows, and is definitely not good at it. But Polly enjoys it!

(Imagining that that's supposed to be part of a larger dance circle with leg movements inspired by the hopak, but I don't even know if that'd work and less on how to animate it. But I can imagine anything.)

My World AU

That post about Nil sleeping in too long and Polly yelling “UP, SOLDIER!” Has me thinking. Is there any sort of army trigger that Polly has, due to her upbringing? Like those videos of veterans waking up instantly when Reveille is played near them. Has Nil ever accidentally done something that made those instincts kick in for a moment?

Hmm maybe just a couple of times-

I feel like Polly doesn't understand the concept of sleep since pillagers don't have beds and probably have insomnia, so they get very confused (or worried) when Nil goes to sleep for extra hours (since I imagine that Nil would sleep for extra hours/or for half of the day to cope with the loss of family and home.. )

Oh they understand the concept of sleep just fine, they just don't need as much of it! I imagine because Illager society was raised in the shadows of the Dark Oak Forest (and possible underground), and because of their warrior and looting culture that lead them to seeking out monsters to kill, they have developed an affinity for the night, and maybe even physical traits, like a Tapetum lucidum.

Very unlike a nitwit villager who likes to sleep in and... as you said, definitely has reason to wallow in bed for a while. But they're out in the wilderness now, no time for that!

Of course Illagers will sleep eventually, just maybe irregularly (they change their sleeping patterns to fit the shift they've been put on, very flexible, born and bred soldiers they are)

Nestor the leader

An adventurer who inspired the legendary heroes known as Steve and Alex.

Physical appearance: a young man with sand color skin, blonde hair, ice blue eyes, white shirt with a red vest, brown leathered armband, black belt with a golden buckle, blue pants, black shoe, he has a scar on his right hand.

Backstory: he was born in a safe environment in his village when he was a child he grew up loves listening to amazing stories about Steve and Alex who goes plenty adventures with their friends and facing danger. He idolized The original heroes he hoped that someday he’ll be like them. Unfortunately when he’s 11 years old the heroes vanished nobody knows what happened to Steve and Alex. He wondered what happened and maybe he’ll uncover why Steve and Alex disappeared.

Alan the brawn

A flamboyance fighter who he called himself the most handsomeness and fearless who became Nestor traveling ally

Physical appearance: muscular man with chestnut hair that combed back, brown eyes, short chestnut beard, tiny scar on his left eyebrow, olive tan skin color, yellow shirt vest with white sleeves, black belt, brown pants and dark brown boots

Backstory: in his childhood he was the golden child of the family everybody in his village loved him especial the girl who would swooned over his charm.

Hailey the mob whisperer

A kind hearted young lady who lives in hut deep in the forest who she she became the heart of the crew.

Physical appearance: a young lady with almond skin color, short brown hair, teal green eyes, lavender dress with mauve top, bandages on her hands for protection, white and yellow flower crown, bluish grey color pants and pair of brown boots with fur on it and bandages around the boots

Backstory: her biological parents left her in the village in tundra biome as a baby but was adopted by a farmer villager who treat her like his daughter that he never had she has issues making friends one thing she discovered her new ability as a child where she got lost in the forest and it’s getting dark she saw the wolves who didn’t attack her they look at her with confusing and befriend them. Her adoptive father decided to take her to school so she could makes friends she does make one a girl named Zelda and the cleric her tutor she helps Hailey with studying with any potions to help other one fateful day a raid of zombies took over her home village and tries to find the cleric she went to the swamp location and found that her tutor became a witch after the witch was exiled from the village that she was being falsely accused of dark studies by the couple of the villagers hailey decided to help her that someday she’ll explain to everybody that everything was a misunderstanding so she now became her assistant and she met Zelda with the witch. Hailey starts study mobs through books and her ability to empathy any mobs

Elara the stealthy scout

A hybrid who went from a lone bandit to a quiet but loyal scout after she met Nestor

physical appearance: light gray skin. Long dark hair that braided into a ponytail, hazel green eyes and slightly thick eyebrows, magenta dress with long sleeves dark blue pants and brown boots. She wears a dark pink hoodie and black mask

Backstory: she was born with a strange mixed heritage alongside with her older twin brother despite this some human and villagers see her as an illager and the illagers see her as weak human. Because her parents are from a different species her mother was a human who a secret relationship with her father… an illager they both died through different causes and elara spending her life in the abandoned outpost and became a lone bandit who stealing food from the village every night before she met Nestor’s crew who showed her kindness

Elliot the tinkerer

The smartest and supportive tinkerer who was Alan’s friend and goes on an adventure with Nestor’s crew

Physical appearance: has tan skin with orangery red hair color, has golden eyes, he has a beauty mark on the upper side of his cheek, wears white shirt with armor plates on his shoulders of his light gray slightly, wears black leather gloves, brown blacksmith Apron, light brown pants and wears leather shoes, he has a scar on the other side of his cheek due of the trauma in his childhood.

Backstory: he was born in the village his father was a human blacksmith who lives in the village with the other villagers he build iron golems with the other villager elders. After he was born he keeps seeing iron golems for the first time when he turns 5 he saw an scraped iron golem in the river stream it looks like was being trashed and decided to repair it the iron golem was pretty heavy for a child like himself but he wouldn’t give up. He carry scraps of iron and iron ingots to continue repairing after some hard work he headed outside but what he didn’t know that it’s alright nighttime and he saw a stray zombie headed towards him for a meal Elliot was terrified and didn’t know what to do just then the iron golem who was repaired got up and stand behind him to protect him when the zombie was defeated the iron golem looks at him and nodded his head to thank him for the first time ever his parents are amazed by Elliot’s gift Elliot named the iron golem who was repaired chad for couples of days passed everything was great for him until one fateful night a raid of illagers came and destroyed his villages his father told chad to take his son with him and run away that was the last time his father ever spoke to them as they travel high and low but luckily for them they found another village to settle down and meet Alan.

[ Nil wasn’t originally smiling in this piece, but I ended up changing it once I added Polly! Need to draw them happy myself since the separation arc only just started apparently hhghhsjjshhj—- ]

[ Dangling them around like little Miis :) Been heavily debating adding them to my Tomodachi Life island. Steve would’ve had the blue Player 1 hand, and Glen would’ve had the yellow Player 4 hand, had I drawn them as well in this set—- ]

[ Smile!! This piece was actually the first time I drew them—- Had to redraw Polly here after practicing drawing them a bit more. I like this version a lot more than the original. I’ve found Nil is a bit easier to draw for me?? I tend to have more trouble with Polly’s expressions, but in drawing her more, I think she’s my favorite of the two now—- ]

In appreciation of @brightgoat’s amazing My World AU, here’s some pieces with their characters Nil and Polly!! I’ve been trying to work up the nerve to post these for several weeks at this point, geez 😅 I’ve never actually drawn bald people before, so this was a fun challenge! And I’m trying out a new style of coloring! I like the texture of it a lot, I plan on using this style some more for whatever Art Fight refs I make coming up. Let me know if you have any thoughts on it :)

I could gush about this comic for ages, and I will because this is my house (blog) and I love to yap!!

I stumbled across the series one night while just scrolling through my feed, and looking at the recommended blogs. I saw a recent post about the Nether Raiders, clicked it, and fell down such a rabbit hole, it was past 2 am by the time I finished reading. Closing the tab after reaching the most recent post felt like coming out of a a fever dream, it was so enthralling.

Their character designs are just genius, Bright does a fantastic job of interpreting Minecraft’s various mobs into numerous unique characters, all just oozing with personality. They have to have at least a dozen Illager designs at this point and every single one looks different, it’s miraculous, I don’t know how they do it! Their line work is always gorgeous, same with their coloring and lighting, the entire comic is a treat for the eyes. And the story, god when I said it was like falling down a rabbit hole I really meant it. There’s no other way to describe it, I was utterly captured by the plot they’re putting together, despite literally overheating under my heated blanket in the dead of night during that first read through. I was on the edge of my seat and not going anywhere for hours. I cannot recommend it enough!

So here’s a small tribute of various drawings of everyone’s favorite chaotic duo! May they be reunited soon, I greatly miss their shenanigans already :’)

Sketched a particularly intense scene from chapter 3 today so I had to draw something to make myself feel better
