Haven't posted in a while and thought this would be a great track to come back with. The best example of electro rock in my opinion with amazing melodies and a unique style that is instantly recognisable.
Found this track the other day after it absolutely blew up on twitter. It's amazing to see an artist like Shlohmo making such an impact. If you like this be sure to check out his other works, some of them featuring Jeremih
UK Garage music has a special place in my heart and ears, whenever I listen to a garage classic like ‘Do You Really Like It, Flowers or Give It Up’, it immediately takes me to a place in my childhood.
I never danced to one of these classics in a night club or danced to it at midnight with a…
A very very basic mix of four songs i absolutely love at the moment. Literally just consisting of fades. Would love to learn how to mix properly and tips would be appreciated. Some absolutely stunning garage/House tracks on here, most of them remixes of old RnB tunes which i absolutely love.
Tracklist : Hermitude - HyperParadise (Flume Remix)
Amerie - 1 Thing (Polkadot Remix)
Vice City - Love Lyk Diz B4
Karma Kid - It's Always
Absolutely amazing track from Australian artist Flume. I'd love to tell you what genre he's from but this guy does everything from Garage to electonic to dubstep. Even teaming up with various rappers. I highly recoommend his album. He's gone platinum in Australia and is very much up and coming in the U.K.
By far my favourite singer songwriter bar none. With an Alternative/Reggae style that is incredible and lyrics that cut straight to the point on issues such as race, youth and city life.
Love hearing a singer songwriter so in touch with his urban roots in his musical style. Something i can relate to more than most others. Lovers of many different genre's will undoubtedely be able to enjoy his R&B inspired productions alongside soulful vocals. His album Mirrorwriting is definetely worth a listen for many great tracks like this one.
Anyone who is a fan of original and unorthadox music styles will be garuanteed to love James Blake. An artist with so much going for him creating such amazing and gripping sounds that keep you actively listening, the melodies and pace of his songs often taking changing unexpectedly to great effect. I'll definately be posting more of his music as just one of his tracks isn't enough to display the differing styles in his creations, the one constant in all of his tracks being stunning vocals, sometimes mixed up with synthesisers or hymnal styles.
An absolutely amazing track by Nathan Fake. When people think of genre's like electronic (and similarly with Dubstep, Drum 'n Bass, Garage etc.) they so often sleep on the artists ability to create something melodic and original. It's tracks like this that i often like to direct those people towards, doing the same by introducing them to artists like Phaeleh and Blackmill. Love the way the pace and energy of the song completely transforms just after the halfway mark, inspiring afeeling of movement and progress.
Enjoy your body, use it every way you can. Don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own.

Anyone who knows me probably already knows of my love for Charlie Chaplin's "Greatest Speech Ever Made" so you can only imagine my excitement when one of my favourite artists samples it in a track and backs it up with orchestral melodies and an aggressive, yet tasteful dubstep beat that could only really come from an artist who is a classically trained musician in a genre that is a world apart.
It's music like this that really inspires and encourages me to go after the things i want. No more wasting time...
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

Youtube comments never fail to entertain.
Tracks like this are needed for days like today. Vocals and melodies that never fail to put me at ease. Phaeleh has never failed at creating such brilliant atmospheres with the music he makes, most of his creations being amazingly chilled but succeeding also in making some darker, more sinister sounding tracks. Will definitely be seeing him live as soon as he's performing when i'm back in London, most probably at Fabric.
