Indie Poseidon of Supergiant Game Hades. written by nugget.
cinderstepsâ:
âI shall keep that in mind.â A chuckle lining his voice, just as excitement of their possible vacation set in, confusion came rushing in.
The Earth what?
âA day begins when the sun rises, right? So I have until the sun sets or is that completely wrong? I wasnât told anything about rotations.â
âWell, you just have to know how many days from now to tell me when you want our little vacation. Little nephew.â
âAfter all , your old uncle here is a busy man so he has to make a schedule for this sort of thing. God or not, I am the ocean master.â
cinderstepsâ:
âA vacation?â Just like a calling card, no clue what that was â until he heard the rest.
âIf you can really pull that off, I would love to! Perhaps we could go fishing like we talked about in the past.â
âListen nephew and listen well. when you got the looks of old uncle Poseidon, youâll even get the fates swooning.â
Which is kind of cheating but also a lot of other things.Â
âJust tell me when! Though being in the underworld for so long. Do you even understand the earth rotation?â
Days.Â
cinderstepsâ:
âHello uncle. Itâs going well, all things considered. Although, given that my job description is to literally leave the Underworld, father would probably smite me if I tried to get away with paid leave.â
âWell since you are prince of the underworld. Its no wonder little ol hades is such a grump about it. Then again ...â
It is the underworld.Â
âHow about a vacation? I can ask some favors so you can leave this ol place, even for a day.â
@cinderstepsâ
âAh nephew! We meet again. How goes the whole escaping from the underworld bid. Do you get paid leave?â

âYou seem rather sour about something and I doubt it is due to my refusal of having a friendly fight with you.â Hyperion stated, sounding somewhat fatherly. It was rather uncharacteristically of him, for he never had been a fatherly type. Perhaps Tartarus had changed him for the better? He had to keep himself from scoffing at that thought.Â
âThis is how I always sound.â
The god of war is not feeling merry not does he feel much at all. its for the best when your parents are doing all the feelings right now. After all he doesnât have a high opinion that the next mandated family dinner would end well for anyone.Â
âBe wary , mother is rather testy again. Father got caught.â

Tethys could help but laugh at Poseidonâs suggestion. âIf anything, heâs jealous of me getting to spent time with you.â Anything else would be a preposterous thought. The Titaness wasnât on good terms with the king of heaven for various reasons. Even after all these millennia, she still held a grudge for what he had done to her daughter Metis. She mightâve been able to forgive him by now if it wasnât for the way he treated Hera, her foster daughter, as well.Â
âItâs a good thing he isnât here. I might be tempted to use him as bait!â Â Â
âYou might kill all the fish if you do.âÂ
Besides it was unwise to tempt fate so much. Zeus is still by far the strongest of the gods right now. And there wonât be any plans on overthrowing him. unless of course the sons gain a spine , so to speak.Â
And he catches a fish! Springing up the fishing rod and landing it straight at the bucket.Â
 âAha! thats one for me!â
tragillaryâ:
A laugh came from him, followed by a shake of his head. The Titan had spend centuries in the depths of Tartarus, surrounded by darkness and ice. His body was stiff; his muscles felt like they could crack. Hyperion felt like an old man, regaining his strength as the cold slowly melted away from him. He needed some time, though, to recover completely.Â
âI am afraid you will have to find another sparring partner.âÂ
An unwilling participant, were this Apollo he would have forced him into submission. A sigh, his weapon dropping carelessly on the ground, it was all wood anyways and the nymphs would clean them.Â
âVery well. I suppose...I could just get the after party drinks for you.â
recordsstraightâ:
â
âI wouldnât call Father great ⌠he doesnât deserve that kind of status.â the words were spoken boldly by the god, uncaring if Zeus himself heard. It wasnât as if he could hate Ares anymore than he already did.Â
âSays the one who looks like him...â He mutters, still in love with the idea of a loving fatherly Zeus. Even if himself wonât admit it. The idea of a loving family...
asoulunboundâ:
âI certainly wouldnât mind a nice salmon,â Tethys mused. Perhaps the Fates didnât want them to catch any. Maybe they had watched âFinding Nemoâ again and deemed fish friends and not food.
Or this was an entirely different lesson for them to learn. âA challenge in patience!â The Titaness wondered. She wasnât known as the most patient among her siblings. Unquestionably more short-tempered characters existed among the Titans. But the water goddess had a reputation of her own. The hook was lifted out of the water again.
âCould it be that weâre using the wrong bait?â Â Â
âNonsense. Some fish are stupid enough to eat fresh bait food in a salty sea.â
that is true, and the same could be applied to the mortals as well.Â
âPerhaps its the giant storm closing in on us ever since my brother found out I was fishing with you.âÂ
Oh his brother is so cute, being so pouty. He would invite him to join him fishing if he could. but this was a planned date.Â
âI think my brother is rather jealous you get to hang out with me.â
asoulunboundâ:
â
Fishing was more relaxing than Tethys imagined. Leaning back in her chair, she lifted the hook out of the water. Green-blue eyes moved to the empty bucket beside her before the Titaness answered: âPoorly, I fear!â A chuckle escaped her. âBut I guess catching fish isnât the main purpose of this activity!â At least itâs what she hoped! Â Â
âWell I certainly want something delicious to eat for dinner.â
Also his wife is mad at him for not clearing out their backyard. But thats another matter entirely.Â
âIts a bit boring when I can control the fish to sacrifice itself for their god. so a challenge! Iâm usually better at this as well.â
His bucket had one tiny fish.Â
I canât believe Iâm going to look like my father, but still not as ....great.
