Devoting to Dionysus will do this to you. For me, leaving Christianity and suddenly coming to the realization that you are a string in the web of life was my catalyst to Hellenistic Polytheism. You're not some apex predator that dominates other life forms. You are meant to exist side by side with creation. You are not above the snake because you have the power to crush it with your heel. You are not above the fox because you can hunt it and make a pelt. You, with all your intelligence, are an animal at your core.

One thing I've realized in all this time being with Lord Dionysus is that he's helped me appreciate the natural world way more. The change of seasons, the coolness of the breeze, the taste of food.
