In search of an audience
Hello fellow writers, my name is Isaac. I began writing after losing my job last year, and so far I have had a hard time finding an audience. I am a devoted fan of horror and the dark genre, and so far I have been able to post some of my work on my Wattpad, which I will add below. This summer, I released my most recent horror novel, Maize. It would be so meaningful to me as an artist and writer if some of you would consider checking out or engaging with my work, as thus far, in a world where fewer and fewer people read anymore, i have struggled to find any meaningful audience. If you love complex and mature horror with deep and sensitive themes, and equal parts atrocious gore and viscera, I think you’d get some value out of my two most recent Novels; Exodus, and Maize. Some things don't change until it's already too late…
at the early onset of a historic farming crisis in rural Iowa the 1980s, a farmer who has recently lost his wife in a terrible way becomes hopelessly lost in his expansive maize fields after chasing a loose pig into the field, just as an unexpected early snowstorm begins to set in. Feeling Lost and increasingly discombobulated, he begins to develop a guilty paranoia that he isn't the only thing lost out in these fields...
