Charlie hated her father for hiring someone to protect her. She didn’t need it. Sure, her family received a threat, but it wasn’t the first time. She wondered why this one was more important than the others. They would not let her read the letter, they always kept her out of everything, and she was tired of it. Charlie had no intentions to have that bodyguard following her everywhere. And certainly not to one of the biggest party of the year. After dinner, she excused herself to her bedroom, and sneaked out of her window as soon as she was ready. She hoped that as soon as she’d start her car, it’d be too late for anyone in the house to catch her. As soon as she walked in the party, one of her friends handed her a drink and it was time for her to have some fun.Â
