Announcement

So, the transition to the sideblog is complete.  Anyone who still wishes to RP with these muses, feel free to give me a follow at the new CRBN blog.  This account will remain up as an archive and any relationships will carry over.

So, it’s been a while since I’ve been on this blog and I have an announcement to make.  I have far too many individual blogs to keep track of, so this blog is going to be migrated over to being a sideblog of my Blake Belladonna RP blog, bellxna.  This blog will remain up as an archive for what has been done and most things as far as relationships will carry over.  This is more for my own sake and it will be easier for me to keep up and stay active.  I’ll make another post here when I finally finish.

Every time I see something for Destiny: The Taken King, I get a shudder run down my spine.  Not because I think it’s going to be bad.  Quite the contrary, it looks great.  It’s because I worked at the factory that made the boxes for the entire East Coast distribution of the Collector’s Edition set to release this September.

“...They called me Unit-033.  My given name is Maya Viridia.  I chose that one for myself,” she said.  “There are more like us?  Really?”  She perked up a bit.  “Wow...they told us that we were the only ones...”

Kate paused, “are you… scanning me…?” Kate asked curiously. She was built by none other then Ironwood himself and was upgraded to Angel’s line of tech, she was very well advanced.

If Maya could blush, she would have been blushing brightly.  “I…uh…what do you mean?” she asked.  “How would you know something like that?”  She definitely didn’t want to be found out by the wrong person.  

Kate blinked, “uh… cause my scanners can tell when someone is trying to look into me… it’s usually for when people are trying to hack into me… your not trying to hack me… are you?” Kate asked curiously.

Maya immediately stopped scanning Kate.  “Oh...yeah it just happens automatically.  I would never try to hack you.  I didn’t even know you...were like me,” she said.  Now she felt a little less alone.  “Wow...I didn’t even think there was anyone like me left.”

I writing evil or nearly evil characters more fun than writing good guys. I’m sick of feeling like people are going to judge me for my characters. I have a right to rp what I want and explain my characters actions, but not try to justify them. Because I know why a character acts a certain way doesn’t mean I think they are excused. The world isn’t black and white.

Maya sighed as she sat alone on one of the park benches.  She never realized how hard being alone could be.  All her “life,” she’d spent it with the other PS-Units.  Now with them gone, she didn’t know what to do with herself.  

Kate was walking along the park, her technical mothers where busy in school with their friends. She knew she didn’t belong in the school, so until they where done with schooling she was just aimlessly walking about. “Ugh… what is this thing I feel…?” She scanned thee current situation. “Boredom? Is that it…?” She hummed, “yes… that’s what the organics would call it… I’m bored…” She noted as she walked towards a bench with a girl sitting on it.

Maya shut her eyes and relaxed on the bench.  Maybe if she knew what to do or where to go, she could stop moping around.  But how do you adjust when being a weapon of war is all you know?  She opened her eyes to see someone else approach her.  She automatically scanned the girl, finding something unusual about her.

“Azurite” Trailer

So I did a thing again.  Two down, four more to go.

    Smoke filled the room, some of it from cigarettes, the rest from cigars. The air smelled of a mix of the bitter cigarette smoke and the sweet, flavored cigar smoke.  I sipped my virgin cocktail, not being able to order an alcoholic version due to my young age.  My eyes shifted among my older companions as we sized one another, waiting for the other to make one wrong move.  My eyes went back to the cards in my hand.  I had nothing to work with, just a couple of three's, a nine, a four, and a Jack.  This would take some quick thinking and a lot of luck.  I pulled my hand close to my chest and leaned forward, pushing half of my winnings into the pot.  I kept a neutral expression, trying not to give my bluff away.  

    A larger man sat across from me.  He held the same neutral expression I had.  He puffed his cigar and dropped some of the ashes on the table. He mirrored my move, pushing in half of his Lien as well.  Two more followed suit.  The other, a scrawny man and the source of most of the cigarette smoke, decided to be bold.  He moved his entire pile of cash into the pot.  The other three men folded immediately.  I couldn't afford to lose this one.  In an effort to make him falter, I tossed my remaining money in and reached into my wallet, pouring out all the money I had.  

    He groaned loudly and tossed his hand down, admitting defeat while I collected my winnings with a smug grin on my face.  I dropped my cards, revealing the lackluster hand I'd just used to win against four grown men.  I was preparing to leave with my money when I heard the click of a pistol from behind my head.  “Going somewhere, Mr Azurite?” the scrawny man from before said.  

    A nervous laugh escaped my chest.  “Huh?  Oh, uh, yeah it's getting late.  I promised my boyfriend I wouldn't be out late and not to mention my roommates too.  They're probably worried sick,” I said, stuttering over every other word.  

    I felt the cold steel of the pistol's barrel against the back of my head and my mouth went dry.  They had no intention of letting me leave, not without a fight.  “Okay okay, let's not make this ugly. How about...we play another nice friendly game...”  I moved to reach into my pocket.  “I have a special deck.  Winner take all.” With that, I pulled a Two of Diamonds from the deck and charged the Dust to glow a low red.  “Dealer goes first!”  I turned swiftly, slicing at the gun before he could pull the trigger.  The bladed edge of my card cut the gun's barrel in half, causing it to misfire.  He reeled back in pain from the explosion and growled at me.  “So you fold?”

    “Cocky little....ugh...kill him!” he yelled to his companions.

    The other two men produced pistols and opened fire.  I kicked the table forward and hid behind it for cover.  It wouldn't last long, I could already hear the wood chipping.  And even then, they were stupid, but not so stupid they would just stand there and waste ammo.  I knew they'd try to walk around eventually.  I shuffled through my deck and charged the Dust in a pair of 9's.  Hearts...that was Fire Dust...maybe.  I didn't have time to remember specifics.  I directed the kinetic energy in the cards to fly around the table and at their hands, causing them to drop their guns.  I stood and kicked the table forward and the two of them stumbled to the side, narrowly missing being thrown out the window along with the table.  The scrawny man from before charged me from behind and I slipped to the side, leaving my leg out to trip him.  He stumbled, but regained his footing before throwing a punch.  I blocked and jabbed my elbow to his stomach.  He took the hit, but grabbed my arm, twisting it around behind my back. I gasped in pain as it felt like my shoulder would be dislocated.  

    Before he could completely destroy my tendons, I twisted, using my body weight to reverse our positions and climb on his shoulders.  As hard as I could, I clapped my hands on his ears, hopefully disorienting him.  Worst case scenario, I would break his eardrums.  That didn't seem to be the case, but he still stumbled from the headache I'd obviously induced upon him.  “Sorry to leave, boys, you've been a riot, but seriously, I have a handsome man I can't keep waiting much longer!”  I made my way to the door, only to be blocked by the two I'd neglected to finish off.  “Oh you've gotta be kidding me!”

    They had reclaimed their firearms, aiming both at my head.  I raised my hands in surrender.  “Hey, come on...best two out of three?”

    “I'm afraid this is where you pay up, Azurite,”  the one on the left said.

    “I don't think so, I won fair and square.  Royal Flush beats everything!”  A royal flush, charged with Lightning and Fire Dust, slipped from my sleeves and into my hands.  I threw the cards down and rolled away from the resulting explosion.  The three men were sent flying into the walls, knocked out, singed, and electrocuted.  I dusted myself off and collected my cards that hadn't been destroyed by explosions.  “It's been fun.  Same time next Friday night? Okay?  Okay.”  I collected my winnings once more and left through the front door.
