me, living in a country where "lgbt propaganda" is an offence you go to prison for, and me deciding to act on being trans might get me killed: time to log on tumbler and watch american trans men and women fight over shit like someone misusing "tma/tme" or "transandrophobia" like they don't have any other problems!!!
you do, you fuckers. your country is trying to do the same mine did. focus on that. who fucking cares about whether terms tma/tme is agender exclusive or whether the term transandrophobia implies misandry is real. they are trying to ban you. no, they are successfully banning you, as seen with oregon. are we being fr rn.
also consider this: by saying "trans women face a unique form of oppression in the intersection of transphobia and misogyny, but trans men don't, because men aren't oppressed", you're
a) denying trans men any usable term for the emasculation and oppression they experience, because they're explicitly excluded from transmisogyny (tme), and transmasc erasure doesn't even cover half of the shit
b) implying an existence of a "default", directionless transphobia, from which transmascs are not exempt, but everyone else becomes "more oppressed". which instead ends up accidentally implying that "default" transphobia is "treating transmasc and nonbinary afab people as mentally ill women"
c) implying trans men being treated as "mentally ill women" somehow does not make them subject to a unique intersection of transphobia and sexism that deserves its own name
like. can we be fr. trans women have it worse. the transition is more difficult physically (T being the overpowering hormone and E not raisingyour voice) and socially (women "pretending to be men" historically more acceptable than men "pretending to be women", constant pervert accusations, dealing with misogyny). but giving trans men a term to use won't make everyone suddenly forget that trans women have it worse
i am nonbinary. when i talk about issues i face when androgynous or feminine presenting it sucks ass And live in fear of staff nuking me. when i talk about issues i face when masculine-presenting it also sucks ass And trans women block me for daring to talk about my life. like. what do i even do about that. give me a solution. give me a singular solution before blocking me outright for daring to imply "people in fandom culture fetishize boypussy and make characters trans without actually considering their experience as a transmasc, and also use it as proxy-sort-of-straight-sex in gay ships" is a discussion worth having as much as "dickgirls fetishize trans women" is.
