I've been categorized as "natural", cute, little, positive, skinny, dark, brown, a good girl, different, earthy, dainty, girly, "soft", "too nice", strong, weak, spiritual, crunchy granola, bold, meek- blah blah blah. Up until my twenties, these labels bothered me because it felt like I was being caged in and wasn't allowed out of the realms of what I was perceived by others to be. Im so thankful that I don't feel that way anymore because these categories and boxes really have nothing to do with me. They are just others perception of me and maybe their way of trying to make out who I am. But nobody knows me better than ME. People aren't 1-dimensional. It's possible to be dainty and soft and practice Taekwondo like I did in high school, eat mostly vegan and my fav meal be a greasy burger and fries which is a true story, be "spiritual" and openly talk about sex. I know who I am and I'm always going to be more than someone's perception of me. I'm just me, I'm just Milan. And you are just you.
