Covering the different forms written and verbal communication to unspoken communication such as body language and mirror matching. We touched upon trusting our intuition, knowing ourselves, meditation, purpose and resonance.
“Be what your passion is, it doesn’t matter if you say it, you have to live it.” - Naomi Sesay - Oluchi
Wooo wooooop, would be amazing if one of us from creativity works get through to the finals of #vlogstarchallenge !!!
Naomi Sesay delivering a empowering speech today. Here she is explaining why the soul, or consciousness can't scientifically die because energy only transmutes, it can't disappear. However the human body can; and so build your inner self, build your mind and live out your purpose, because your purpose is never ending, it is etneral and doesn't disappear even in death. Very refreshing to hear such comforting and true and real words from an adult. Because what Naomi said is exactly what I believe and it's not something people talk about everyday, but I think we should talk about it more. Such an awesome course, with so many inspiring people. Thank you Naomi!

The power of Public Speaking: creating stories with impact!
Professional speaker Naomi Sensay gave an insightful masterclass on the power of Public Speaking.
Sensay explained that verbal language accounts for 38% of all communication- “it is really important to understand how you project your language. You don’t have to be a shakespearean, you just have to come correct”.
When speaking publicly you need to:
Know your subjectÂ
Know your audienceÂ
Know your styleÂ
“Find your style, don’t try to be like others because they’ve got it going on”. Once you find your passion and purpose, you exude confidence “and the more you know you, people will gravitate towards you”.

The Power of Public Speaking
Verbal Language makes up 38% of all communication:
-Words -Articulation -Vernacular -Projection
How are we going to impact power in change if we don't use enough words? The way in which we need to get our message across is relayed by the way in which we speak. That's why it's important to expand your knowledge. 'The more you absorb, it acts as a mind feed that works to evolve your language and add more power to your delivery'.
-Register -Timbre -Prosody -Pace -Pitch -Volume
Body language also plays a part in how you are perceived. In fact, this amounts to 55% of all communication.
-Image -Presence -Pose -Projection
When you speak it is important that you speak with Passion and Purpose:
-You need to be able to tell a story
 -Do something that has meaningÂ
-Change lives and ultimately change the WORLD.Â

Here is a short vlog on my opinions on technology and how it is shaping society in London.

Facebook Visit- 25th April The creativity works crew visited the Facebook office to learn about marketing and advertising. We also had a chance to learn about their future projects. Here is one of the highlights that stood out to me: One billion people going online: A campaign called Internet.org has started to help one billion who are in poverty and third world countries come online to connect with the world. They will be using an aircraft prototype that will hover around these countries and provide wifi. By Reenal Upadhayay Twitter: @ReenalUpadhayay
Radio Station MasterClass: Bubble Radio FMÂ
We had a go in creating our own radio station in this masterclass by Ivor Etienne. We learned to think about various marketing and questions to think about when it comes desgining a radio station. Placed into groups of five, our group came up with Bubble.FM, a show that caters for kids aged 5 to 10 year olds. From Birthday shows to Karaoke, we discussed the potential of this to Ivor.Â

Media Trust – Journalism – Interview like a Pro: Tips, Tricks and Techniques – Ria Chatterjee By Najmun Khan
Interview like a Pro: Tips, Tricks and Techniques:Â
Lunch time news – snappy and accessible – aimed for stay at home mumsÂ
Evening News – similar to touch time NewsÂ
News at 10pm – competing with Night News – it has to be issue drivenÂ
The more news information you have, the more sources you have to provide newsÂ
Craft your questions, build rapport with the person, pre-production is keyÂ
Preparation is so important, research a lot, use other media sources for information, than you find questions that hasn't been asked. Watch other interviews, read articles. Go beyond researching and understand who your interviewing i.e reading an author book and picking a line, sentences from the bookÂ
Crafting your Questions:Â
You need to know your questions and to figure out what your interviewer will sayÂ
What do you want to get out of the interview? The results? Â
Write your questions beforehand because it's about being preparedÂ
Have open questions which can flow nicely into the conversationÂ
Stay clear from closed questions which will only give you closed answers Â
Don’t tell your interviewers what to say, otherwise it will be unnatural for them Â
Remember to build that rapport with them, so they can be relaxed and have a conversation with youÂ
Be approachable, but be a professional to your interviewers, listen to what they say, instead of thinking of the next question?Â
Keep a mental note if they haven't answered your questionsÂ
Other Tips:Â
Social media is very useful i.e you can ask about what questions to ask them?Â
Don’t worry about challenging someone who gives you closed answersÂ
Entertainment interviews opposite to politicians interviews. Worth mentoring to PR about your questions. Don't be afraid to voice your opinions to PR because stars are figures to the public eyeÂ
Be sensitive when asking questions, but have harder questions
Media Trust – Journalism – Channel 5 News – Ben Wickman By Najmun Khan
My Channel 5 News experience:Â
I was able to understand what goes on behind the scenes on Channel 5 News and how reporters, producers, editors, sound and the director work whilst breaking news live to audiences.Â
I had the opportunity to practise presenting news. The courage and motivation to present news is unbelievable and I experienced how to read the autocue, listen to the director, whilst staying engaged with the viewers watching the News. It was not easy to do because behind the scene you can hear everything in the earpiece, people talking back and forth to each other and you only have to concentrate on following instructions from the director.Â
Overall it was a fun experience and once in a life time opportunity to try to present news.Â
I am grateful for this experience because it gave me an insight of what's it like to work in a news environment and how they work in a daily basis to provide news contents for their audiences. Â
I was introduced to the hard working team behind Channel 5 News:Â
Ben Wickman, Sian Williams, Matt Barbet, Andy Bell, Tessa Chapman, Peter Lane, Catharine Jones, Simon Vigar, Dominic Reynolds, Minnie Stephenson, Kate Simmons, Julian Druker.Â

Media Trust – Journalism – Photojournalism – Richard Pasceo By Najmun Khan
What is Photojournalism?Â
Photojournalism is the practice of communicating news by photographs, especially in magazinesÂ
The People Tech Takeover:Â
iPhone thrives as digital cameras and traditional photojournalism struggles to stay aliveÂ
Mobile Phones:Â
The easiest and quickest way of capturing social events in real time, with 4K videos, 12MB Photos. This is now accessible for anyone to use and sell to newsagents and magazinesÂ
Digital Compact:Â
Digital Compact Cameras are one of the easiest tools to use after Camera Phones (Think of Lumix brand compact camera)Â
Mirrorless:Â
This has the ease of use and size of a compact camera but also has the advantage of interchangeable lenses like an SLR camera (Think of Nikon brand mirrorless camera)Â
DSLR:Â
These cameras are for when you want to shoot more than just a picture. These are your workhorse. This when you want to 'Freeze' that moment ad you really see it (Think of Canon brand DSLR camera)Â
Photography Basics:Â
Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, FramingÂ
Aperture:Â
F1.8 F2.8 F4.0 F5.6 F/8 F/11 F/16 F/22Â
Shutter Speed:Â
1/250S 1/500S etc. The faster the Shutter Speed the shorter the time the image sensor is exposed to light; the slower the Shutter Speed, the longer the time image sensor is exposed to light. If you are photographing a subject that is in motion, you will get different effects at different Shutter SpeedÂ
ISO:Â
ISO is a measure of the camera ability to capture light. ISO sensitivity is raised by amplifying the signal. In other words, if is sensitivity is raised from ISO 100 – ISO 200 while aperture is left unchanged, the same exposure can be achieved with a Shutter Speed twice as fast. The same is true if ISO sensitivity is raised from ISO 200 to ISO 400Â
Framing:Â
Framing your picture is very important, because it has to tell a story to the readers. Remember the rule of thirds when framing and capturing your pictures.Â
Media Trust – Journalism – Design your Glossy: Learn to Make a Magazine Part 1 – Reshma Biring By Najmun Khan
Many things to learn of how to make a magazine layout on PhotoShop, but here's what I have gathered:Â
Double page spread – would need to be filled up completely coveredÂ
Remember the page layout must be eye catching, creative that makes the reader the articleÂ
300-500 words – choose any topics to write about, but must be within the word limitÂ
Writer – will need write about the article about i.e 'We Don’t Know, So We Don’t Care'Â
Editor – will be checking everyone's work and correcting mistakesÂ
Photography – find and take original picturesÂ
Graphic Designer – will be responsible for the page layoutÂ
Remember Key Points:Â
A good headline Â
Images (not copyright – use original pictures) Â
Photo caption Â
Pull quoteÂ
Overall message of the articleÂ
Our target audiences (16-25 year olds)Â
Topline for your articleÂ
Name of the Cover MagazineÂ
