Claude-Merle. I don’t know a bunch on him but I do know this. He’s a purple-headed French dude, probably with a goatee at this point. If I spelled that wrong, I’m not sorry at this point in my life anymore. Words aren’t my strong suit but I just like him. He’s probably a red or green walking flag but whatever at this point. I want nothing to do with his character and the project has been cancelled, duh.

(I’m sad about the game being cancelled…)

But you definitely got his name, and honestly, whether you did or not wouldn’t care either.

I understand if people like the character…I however do not like the purple, pompous piece of merde. And pretty sure giving cigarette burn marks on your younger siblings is a HUGE red flag.

(In an MDHM AU, my character clocks him in the face the first second she comes in close enough range.)

I'm a sucker for "Child won't forgive parent (usually Dad for some reason) for abandoning his own family, breaking the Dad's heart, but he understands why they feel this way. But differently trouble happens, Dad risks his life to save someone, and unforgiving child changes their mind accepts the Dad into the family" story.

If we took away the huge amount of sex, and a lighten up on the gore a tiny bit,

Alan's redemption arc back into his family could be a nice movie to watch with kids who enjoy horror like how Alan did when he was a child.

(Definitely would be a hell of a lot better than a lot of family movies nowadays.)

Alan will and would protect his family with his life, and he will love them with his whole twisted heart, but redemption isn't exactly on his menu.

Kit understands Alan, and Forrest can see what he is. He is his mother's son though, and begrudgingly and secretly does care about his old man lmao.
