Also Steven isn’t Japanese, he was a human before and he’s Canadian actually I heard. If not, either way not Japanese. But then again, he could have still been non-white, we don’t know what he looked like before or his ethnicity.
*I can’t seem to find the original creator of Strangled Red, so I put a question mark after that one because he’s TECHNICALLY based off Red. I didn’t see anything about him being Canadian or even about him being alive irl before though.
*The name Steven does imply him not being Japanese- but Pokemon characters often have localized names. (E.G. Ash vs Satoshi, Hibiki vs Ethan)
*Never heard of Doctor Locklear before now, and it seems that originally at least Madame Macabre didn't intend for him to be a creepypasta? *I couldn't find info confirming this bc it's mostly in video format but I'll take your word for it
