Weakness. That’s what it is, when Hubert leans into the touch. He does it without thought, without a second’s hesitation. Has anyone ever touched him like this? He can’t recall. Never anyone he would accept it from half as easily. Never anyone he’s truly allowed himself to want. Is that what this is?
His eyes fall shut and a shiver goes through him, Byleth’s words spurring something warm and dark to go rushing along his veins. Stone bites into his back and he relishes it. Shame follows an instant later. How is he so easily beaten? Byleth’s words, his touch, it shouldn’t be enough to make him so weak.
“Yes.” The word slips out, barely a whisper, betraying himself. It’s desperate. Hungry. His own tone catches him by surprise and Hubert forces his eyes open. He forces down a few even breaths, trying to pick a coherent thought from the mess inside his head. The one he finds isn’t the best, but it might grant him a brief reprieve at least. “But not here.”
He reaches up suddenly, grabbing Byleth by both arms as the sparks of a spell envelope them both. The next moment, they’re in his study, is back pressing against his desk rather than a wall. Not the most advantageous change in position, but he’s glad for it anyway. Without anything at the back, he’s not sure how much longer his legs would hold.
the agreement sends a bolt of electricity through him and he sucks in a surprised breath . not part of the plan , not part of the plan !! he was never supposed to agree -- the world spins around them , hubert's magic wrapping around them and tugging . when it recenters , they're in hubert's office , byleth nestled neatly between hubert's legs , the desk at the taller man's back keeping him pinned .
they're pressed even closer now , shoulder to hip , and byleth shivers at the contact . the hand on hubert's cheek slips down to the side of his neck , the one on his chest down to his hip . byleth goes up on his toes , bringing their mouths closer and --
" if you want me to stop , you say -- " he pauses , smiles faintly , " say 'seiros' . " and then he presses a kiss to the corner of hubert's jaw , another just under his ear . " understand ?? need you to say 'yes' before we continue , darling . "
