“I’m so ready for this holiday to be over..” Ed muttered to himself as he walked down the busy main street in the centre of town. His hands were shoved tightly into the pockets of his leather jacket as excited groups of people dressed in costume scurried around him.

Halloween. Something about it was both exhilarating and too goddamn festive. As if the world awakening to another magic was overshadowed by the cheap black and orange decorations. She missed the older rituals. The older celebrations before mainstream had entirely adopted it as their own. Now it didn’t hold the same bone deep goodness as before. Though, Jordan had to admit, she still enjoyed watching the young ones scurry from house to house. Pub to pub. She smiled as she walked, glancing over across the street and bumping into someone a moment later. “Geez, sorry. Wasn’t looking where I was going.” She spoke as she grabbed onto the other person, looking up she gave a smile. “Distracted by all the shiny.”
