Tycutio Week is coming back!

From July 20st to July 26st, we will have the Tycutio Week 2026! Use the tag #tycutioweek2026 to participate!

What is this event?

It's a week to celebrate tycutio with art, fanfics, crafts, even the sims screenshots… Anything goes, as long you don't use generative AI.

There are three prompts for each day of the week, you can choose one or mix them! They are here to inspire you and see what people can come up with.

If you want to participate, you don't have to do anything besides post your work at the right day - although it's okay if you are late. Use the tag #tycutioweek for easy finding! You don't need to do every single day to participate.

Unlike events like mermay, inktober, etc., we suggest to make your works ahead of time and have it ready for the week.

Today I found out...

The development team for the Sims 2 used blender to make paintings in the game instead of using actual paintings!

Another bunch of supernatural recolors of various paintings in the game!

If you want a challenge, try recoloring the Circulator masks! It was really frustrating at times, but I'm glad what I ended up with. I even added a bonus holographic one.

Again, I really enjoyed making the quilts, I especially love the one for the PlantSims, it's so elegant.

Every type of supernatural has a number, so that means that “Jodelie_Art_Arghist_01A” is the alien recolor of the Arghist painting. The A is just in case I make more recolors in the future (such optimism lol).

The “Dead” life state includes zombies, ghosts, skeletons and Grim Reaper.

There are of course no mermaids in the game, but I found so much cool art that I just added them anyway.

The MacBeths and MacDuffs have been in a power lock for decades, but mysteriously, the MacBeths have finally won the upperhand. Will their secrets be revealed or will the town turn a blind eye?

CHILD AND TODDLER ENABLED JAYDEE BOXES 

Hi everyone! So the expansion boxes Jaydee made all those years ago are, I think we can all agree, a literal godsend for storytelling. However one thing that has always bugged me is that very very few of these animations were enabled for children. Well now they are!

These new files have no picture difference, no name file difference, nothing at all except that they are now also enabled for children and toddlers. If you would like to have these in your game then you’ll have to let the new files over right the old.

And of course, I can take no credit for the actual animations, just for the painstaking process of enabling them all for children and toddlers. Enjoy!
