She didn’t exactly expect to see her classmate of a detective in the area, but it’s not really an unpleasant surprise. Simply an unexpected turn of events, although -- considering the words ghosts had whispered to her prior in the day -- she supposed it made sense. “Hello, Hakuba-kun. I don’t suppose you’re out for a mere walk?”

Oh, that’s quite the disarming smile. His chest feels light and somewhat constricted— though he’s more certain that such was due to his running all over the place rather than the former. Still, it’s not everyday that he’s stopped as a familiar face (as much as he would like the attention). It’s sometimes plastered over one or two magazine scoops or papers thanks to a certain reporter…

“A-Ah, not really,” he replies with a casual wave of his hand, “but maybe ya’ve seen me afore on th’ headlines or somethin’. Ya know, Hattori Heiji? Th’ detective?”

He hopes it’s his name committed to some passerby’s memory and not his father’s, that wretched old shark.

A detective? Her mind immediately jumps to the one in her class, but she refocuses her attention before her thoughts can stray to that detective’s white-clad target. Mulling over the thought that detectives as of late tended to have a more vibrant aura, she files his given name away for later. Otherworldly souls tend to have more information than what the mortal plane has to offer...

“I think I’ve heard you mentioned in passing before,” she says truthfully. “I wouldn’t say it’s what i was referring to, but maybe it’s simply my imagination.” She laughs briefly, eyes glinting. “Are you here for a case, Hattori-san? I’d think that our resident detective would handle those, but I won’t complain.”

"Don't get the wrong idea, this is a dare, and I have plans in place just in case you end up manipulating me after this," he states, eyes narrowed in suspicion, before leaning forward and pecking Koizumi on the lips.

Truthfully, the quite random action of the magician throws her off slightly – although it does make more sense that’s it’s a dare ( she is unsurprised to discover that he is n o t one to back down from such a thing ) – but she recovers with grace and ease, a smirk sliding across her features with unmatched smugness. “Is that so?” she purrs, though, internally, she knows she’ll let this one slide. ( It’s far less satisfying when someone e l s e does this kind of work f o r her. )
