A message from Timothy McVeigh to his victims. This recording is from the interviews Lou Michel conducted with him in prison to write American Terrorist.
I had no hesitation to look right at them and listen to their story, but I‘d like to say to them, I‘ve heard your story many times before. The specific details may be unique, but the truth is, you‘re not the first mother to lose a kid. You‘re not the first grandparent to lose a granddaughter or a grandson. I‘ll use the phrase, and it sounds cold, but I‘m sorry, I‘m going to use it, because it‘s the truth—get over it.
Photo of Rachel on her last halloween, with her sisters carving pumpkins. 🦋
This is Rachel’s last Halloween with us. She came up with a butterfly design and about half way thru her carving, her pumpkin collapsed! We took dramatic photos of the deceased pumpkin and then she added herself to the final pumpkin carving contest! She WON!
And it would turn out to be her last halloween.

Guide to Surviving a School Shooting
(Taken from sources online and survivors of such tragic events!)
- First sign of an active shooter and you’re in a classroom: lock the door, turn off the lights, get as far away from the door as possible, use any object available to cover your body/head. Turn the desks sideways and use them as a barricade. Books. Filing cabinets. Shelves.
- If you’re hiding in a classroom and you hear someone say “POLICE! OPEN UP.” Do not open that door! Shooters often impersonate the police in order to get people to open the door.
- If you find yourself outside when the shooting takes place: run to the nearest road/shop/establishment while calling authorities.
- If you’ve found a hiding place, turn your phone on silent/‘do not disturb’
- Avoid videoing the shooting. This gives you tunnel-vision and may take you out of survival mode!
- Know your exit strategy: Make sure you know where your exits are and RUN.
- FIGHT. If unable to run or hide, and you come face to face with the shooter. Fight! John Bruner, a 20-year law-enforcement veteran who is the former Chief County Detective with the Greene County (Pa.) District Attorney’s Office.. “you have to fight for your life,” Scissors, hot coffee, the coffee carafe, other glass objects from an office pantry, for example. Fire extinguishers, either engaged or as a weapon to inflict blunt force trauma, are good. Books, Chairs, Shoes, FISTS.
- He also states, ”Most people who are shot by a gun survive. So understand that and cling to that. Just keep fighting. … You want to buy time. You want to distract this person, because it’s going to take police three or four minutes to get there.“
- If you’re running away from the shooter, run in a Zig-Zag!! This lessens the chances of getting shot in areas that may be fatal. The fatal areas are the torso, head and back: if you can, use your hands to cover these areas.
- If you find yourself in the hallway and the shooter is firing their gun (if you can’t run), play dead! Make sure your body is facing down so you can breathe/blink without fear of doing so. It is more likely than not that they won’t shoot you as they want to preserve their bullets.
- If you see/ hear anything, report it! Action is key in a school shooting, time is precious. The first sign of something “not quite right” report it and call authorities.
* these are obviously tips and some guidance. In the actual moment of a shooting, trauma and fear set in and actions become unpredictable *

On October 17th, 2018, an 18-year-old Vladislav Roslyakov opened fire at Kerch Polytechnic College in Crimea, killing 21 people and wounding more than 65 before killing himself in the college library.
His mother, Galina Roslyakova, works as a nurse in Kerch Cancer Clinic where some victims of her son were brought and was among the nurses who provided first aid to them. She was then taken by police from the clinic and tried to take her own life after hearing what her son had done.
Vladislav’s parents were divorced and his 52-year-old father was also taken in for questioning.
The Funeral Homes
Shown above is the Information Control page that tells us the funeral homes that Eric and Dylan’s bodies were released to after their autopsies.
Eric’s was released to Aspen Funeral Home in Lakeland
Eric did not have a funeral service, and it was not Wayne and Kathy who came to the funeral home to discuss what would happen with Eric. Instead they gave a private investigator the power of attorney to make the decisions on their behalf.
Dylan’s body was released to Horan Mcconany Funeral Home in Denver
Dylan did have a funeral service, on 4/24/99 at 1:30pm. There were 8-10 people in attendance, including family and Zack Heckler
wow…this is just awful…makes me sick to my stomach
Fucking hate Eric’s parents
I goddam hate Eric’s parents I’m starting to cry big time it breaks my heart badly
fuck the harris’s. God damn assholes.
I’m crying
How could they?
I know what Eric has done was terrible. But that was their SON. Eric deserves much better than that!
THE HARRIS FAMILY SHOULD LEARN FROM SUE KLEBOLD🗣🗣🗣
You know, I’m just going to say it. If Erics parents did that after his death, then what kind of life did they show him? No wonder he felt the way he had and decided to off himself.

Testimonies of Barry Loukaitis’ classmates at his trial
On September 15th, 1997, three classmates of Barry Loukaitis testified at his trial, recalling comments he made in the months before the shooting that occurred on February 2nd, 1996, at Frontier Middle School.
A 16-year-old boy named Preston Lottmar told the court, “He said he was going to kill somebody before he died,” recalling a statement he overheard Barry make to a group at the school library.
Preston testified that Loukaitis talked about gangs in the honors English class they took together at Frontier Middle School. “He didn’t like them at all. He said if he ever killed, it’d probably be gang members.”
Lottmar also recalled that in sixth, seventh and eighth grades, Barry was more outgoing and had more friends but at the end of eighth grade and early ninth grade, Loukaitis’ primary interaction with other students was to curse them, tell them to shut up or order them out of his way.
Another classmate, Raquel Salazar, 17, testified that she said, “I made a mistake, and he [Barry] said I was stupid and some people just don’t deserve to live.”
Raquel also told the court she never saw Loukaitis in a good mood and that there was a lot of teasing in the classroom but he never took part of it.
A 16-year-old girl named Melissa Conrad testified that in seventh grade, Barry asked her to be his girlfriend and she told him no, and he walked away.
In ninth grade, Melissa also recalled that once “I was walking by and I looked at him, and he said he was going to kill me.”
On the day of the shooting, Conrad told the court that she was in a typing class across the hall from Mrs. Caires’ math class and the door of her classroom was open. “I saw Barry in a trench coat and a hat in the hall.” “He was looking at me, and then he walked down the hall,” she said. When she was asked what kind of look it was, Melissa said, “Regular looking.”
