Still working some stuff out with CQG backstage here, but there's comics nonetheless! To that end, I present "Impatient Patient", a short Jughead story I wrote.
Last year, around the same time Joe asked me to write what would become "Day of Derek", I decided to try and make another comic-related dream come true: working with Archie Comics. To that end, I asked a few people I knew who had worked with them how they had gotten their foot in the door and the common thread was getting their work in front of Victor Gorelick, Archie's EiC. Knowing stuff like JACK HAMMER or UNMADE wouldn't be up his alley, I wrote this Jughead story, my friend Hugo Petrus (artist on my upcoming graphic novel MYTHOS) did the art and Jeff McClelland lettered it. It came out wonderfully and everyone who has seen it has praised it - except for Mr. Gorelick who never responded. C'est la vie.
As with "Day of Derek", though, it'd be a terrible waste to let it sit around on my hard-drive forever, so I present it for your enjoyment. I really love this story and I hope you will, too. Click the banner to be whisked away to comic goodness!
