okay final thoughts on the season:

disclaimer; i fully respect everyone’s thoughts and opinions. please respect mine as well

i really enjoyed it! this is the first season i watched live and i’m relatively new to the skam france fandom so that may have had something to do with it i guess. but i really liked lola. i enjoyed seeing her find her friends, repair her relationship with her sister and the rocky relationship with her dad. all of these things i’ve dealt with in the last couple of years and i really enjoyed getting to watch them occur.

i can not talk for the addiction aspect of the season personally and while i know some people with addictions i don’t believe i can accurately talk about the shows representation from an outsiders perspective (also the relationship i have with this topic is entirely different story)

as well as this i obviously cannot talk for the MI aspect as a whole as everyone’s stories are different but the feeling that people are just waiting to see you fail and that all you do is let people down is something that i do think it was quite realistic.

i love lolas character and an excited to see more of her in the next seasons as well as the rest of la mif. AND FLAVIE❤️❤️. i love her and her acting was really good considering how young she is, how hard portraying lola would have been and what she had to work with.

i will be really sad to see the og characters go (mainly emma, i freaking love her, daphne, especially after seeing her this season, and elliot, mostly his smile and maxence) and the show will definitely be different with out them.

once again all my opinions on representation or whether it was realistic is just my thoughts and you’re allowed to have different ones. :)

EDIT: one thing i had forgotten about and that i reallllllyyy don’t like. the SA was never spoken about and i feel like if they weren’t going to address it they shouldn't have made it a part of the story just because it deserves to have been at least spoken about again. the fact i forgot that it happened is not a good thing

today in my chemistry class i sat behind my friends while watching edits on their laptop and pointed out every time a skam couple came on. i also convinced two of them to watch druck and am sending them a link so they can start today. i have done my good deed for today.

so we all know lola pushes people away a lot. she tries to be mean to them to get them to leave. i really think that what’s she’s wanting is for someone to actually put in the effort to stay with her. her parents sent her away, maya ghosted her and her bio dad tried to pay her off. she just needs someone who will get past that front and then she will hopefully realise that she’s worthy of love.

This is arguably the best season skam fr has ever had. They're writing interesting and different original characters that feel fresh and that genuinely diversify what we see on TV in France! Even just seeing teenage characters in a show shot in French is a fuckin novelty for us.

So if you're really of the opinion that "its trash its bad writing it deserved to be cancelled three seasons ago", go watch one of your millions of English language teen dramas. But stop filling the tag with hate when there are people who genuinely enjoy and appreciate and need this show

i will start by saying that i respect everyone's decision to either continue watching skam or not to i just have some things i have to say

please do not be rude to the people who are excited about the show getting renewed. you’re allowed to not want to watch it as much as they are allowed to want to watch it.

please try to be happy that the show you love is getting love and that now more people will likely find out about skam as a whole.

please try to be happy for the actors (especially flavie) and crew who are also getting recognition for their hard word. i could imagine how proud they would be that a show they work hard on is loved by many. 

i understand if you choose not to watch it because its different characters and so you do not have a connection to them, it’s the same as when characters leave shows such as greys anatomy and people decide to stop watching while others have only seen newer seasons. 

also people who are going to continue to watch and are happy about the renewal please be nice to the people who decide not to.

i don’t know what my end goal in this is other than please everyone be understanding of others decisions to either watch or not and remember that the actors could easily see everyone's reactions to this.
