disney remembered they got a film to release and dropped its trailer (finally) so lets talk about it

so we have (finally) a descendants wicked wonderland trailer and might i just say it looks very good?? because it does, im very intrigued by all, im very positive about this film i might actually enjoy it a lot

its so good to see auradon prep i really like how they shoot some scenes in the same location and im really excited to see the scenes in there and the 'perfect princess' sequence (+ glasshearts scenes my heart is gonna melt 😭😭

i also wanna add the outfits improved a lot from the last movie (still wish chloe got a different type of outfit, but this one is kinda cute and red looks great!!) i still have a few problems with the background characters outfits (and yes, it does matter to world building) but overall, really good!

knowing this timeline red is very girly and into bows and sparkle is so fun to me and i need the full sequence of her seeing the bows, i need to see how the girls see how much they have changed (+ red braids are very cute)

and her looking her evil self in the looking glass is definitely during her solo 'who i am' and im so ready for it!!!

look im a glasshearts truther but im not against red and luis i think they can be really adorable as a couple (im very against chloe and max tho like who asked?)

now lets talk about maddox hatter as a villain, im really excited to see him being evil and curious to see if they are going to explain how he turned into a villain and im in love with his outfit it looks soooo cool (the best of the movie so far)

(but honestly: number 1 villain? isnt that a bit too much?)

i talked to a friend of mine about his motivations and i talked about how he remembers the og timeline and wants to go back and change things to the way they were so thats why he needs the pocketwatch

but now i think he first wants to take over wonderland and somehow discovers the truth about his old life and decides to take the pocketwatch

either way, im very excited about his villain plot and his song (i heard a bit of it and it sounds nice)

but it wouldnt be a me rant if i didnt have something bad to say and i talked about it before (many times) and ill continue talking about it: they did cinderella and the queen of hearts so dirty!!!!

omg i hate this outfits they look so bad 😭😭 the only good thing about them is the fact that brandy is in there and thats it, like it doesnt hurt to put them in pretty clothes (i really want to make a redesign of them like i did before + pink + an oc of mine for a very specific reason you will see)

but at least thats my biggest (and only?) complain so far about the movie, because it actually looks good! and really like how wonderland looks, they really improved a lot from rise of red (omg i hate the last one)

these knights are really giving me 'night falls' vibes and i wonder which song theyll sing here btw

im not going to talk much about pink other than she seems fun and cute but i feel like i need more of her so ill wait until the movie to say anything 🩷

like in general im very excited and i feel like its going to be a good movie im so positive about this one like i feel like were going to have everything rise of red didnt have and more! will i have thing ill dislike? yes, like everything, but i feel like this one will be one of my favorites and thats what matters at the end of the day!

+ we got a poster (?) (actually a book cover for the novelization) and it looks amazing dare i say one of the best descendants posters we ever got and its definitely a huge glow up from the rise of red one (omg i so hate ror)

and we also got a first look on chessy who i actually thought was going to be the chesire cat himself but then i found out shes his daughter and she looks good, i like the colors and i feel like shes going to be a fun character (with 1 or 2 scenes but will serve)

anyway, thats it for now, dont know when i return with more wicked wonderland content (i need to make a list with everything ive talked so far about the descendants franchise actually)

thinking about if something happened to susan so neils left raising max except he's a nightmare so max spends as much time as she can at billy and steves place and theyre basically raising her and naturally neil doesnt like this and one night it comes to blows theres a huge fight between billy and neil and steve has to intervene and whoopsie neils dead now...

and they start freaking out arguing about if they should go to hopper or not but billy has already decided exactly how this is gonna go down if they go to the police and he is NOT about to end up in jail and leave max alone in the foster system and hes not gonna let steve rot in prison for killing neil so billys like "we gotta run" and steves arguing for them to stay but billys desperate and angry and scared and not budging on this and steve eventually is like "im with you 100%, where you go i go"

next thing they know theyre barging into maxs room waking her up grabbing her shit and throwing it into a suitcase and max is like wtf is going on freaking out and billys just like "neils dead we gotta go" and that answers none of maxs questions but billys grabbing her throwing her over his shoulder and the three of the run out to steves car (its bigger, billy has to quickly mourn the camaro)

billy just gets in the car and starts speeding off to god knows where. once theyre on the highway and far from hawkins billy explains to max what happened, he's sorry she couldnt say goodbye to her friends but they had to leave quick

and then from there its just a road trip, the three of them on the run, trying to survive, to not get caught. billy shaves his head. steve grows his hair out some, tried to go blond but fucked it up and bleached it damn near white instead. max chops most of her hair off.

max and billy butt heads a lot over him taking her away from her life and she holds some resentment but its a fucked up situation for everyone

eventually they find a little town to settle down in, billy and steve have been working odd jobs until they have enough to afford an apartment, get max into a new school. the three of them find a new routine, become a little family. despite everything, billys calmed down a lot in this new life. its stressful, having to watch their backs all the time, but most days they can almost forget about it
