JUST FINISHED READING QUEEN OF NOTHING OMG THE FEELS!!!!
I just love a good ENEMIES TO LOVERS RELATIONSHIP
I want angst but if it doesn’t have a happy ending I no longer want it
Heather Havrilesky, How to Be a Person in the World
The Wicked King (Folk of air #2)
★★★★ ½
Okay. How do I even start?
So this book is the second one of the folk of air thrilogy. It continues the story about Jude, her twin, Cardan, Madoc, among others. Jude is starting to see the power that she really has and the responsabilty she carries.
The first chapters were slow. And I mean like really slow. I was expecting a lot more of romance since the beginning, that was probably my mistake because I was so desperate about the lack of romance on the first book. BUT the story was so addictive that it made me keep reading. Almost throught the half of the book is were everything started to get interesting (the plot and the relationship), also a lot of things started to make sense.
I loved that we get to know more about Cardan, his past, his behaviour and so much more. Jude really has a brilliant mind and even thought I still see her as some kind of villain, I admire her a lot.
The final chapters were too much, I couldn’t stop myself to continue, there were so many things and emotions, I need to know what’s going to happen rn. This book had a lot more romance than the first one, but I still expected more, still I think I liked it better than the first one? I don’t know for sure yet.
Really Holly??? That ending???? I’m suffering right now with it.
Review of this book coming up!

Cruel prince (The folk of air #1)
★★★★
If you like fantasy, this book is for you. (First book of the folk of air thrilogy)
What it’s about: The fairy world is ruled by the High King who has 6 children. Cardan is the youngest one. He deeply hates Jude, a mortal who was taken away from the mortal world after her parents dead and forced to live on the fairy world with her twin sister and her older sister, who is a fairy. Here’s a story about betraya.l, enemies to lovers romance and full of plot twists.
Review
Cruel prince is another completely different world which cost me a lot to adapt but it was amazing to read.
The first half was okay, it was a lot of context, almost through the half I was amazed by all the twists that they were beginning to show up, I died on the last chapter, I did not see that coming. Actually I did not expect anything about the plot of this book, it really surprised me.
I really liked Holly Black writing, but I have to say that the romance was kept shorter than I expected, almost on second plane. That kinda disappoint me, but I think they will get better on the next books!
The characters were good, they are not that complex yet, but somehow I think I can understand them a little.
Jude’s supposed to be the main character and the hero of the story but I think she’s more like a villain, with her brilliant and wicked mind. After all, she wants power.
I’ll start the second book on thursday, I CAN’T WAIT!!!
ALSO WHERE ARE ALL THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS FANS???
I have the theory that this book is connected to cassandra clare’s world, because of the familiar words and context of the fairies world. Like for example, “glamour” “the sight” “fairies can’t lie” “Seelie court”, among others
JUST FINISHED READING CRUEL PRINCE
I’m posting the review later, but rn i’m like-
My favorite book ever! Check out my other reviews here
Me: oh yeah, I absolutely love slow burn relationships. Fuck me up, I'm ready.
Me 4 chapters in: Holy fuck, why haven't they kissed yet? Does agony know no limits?
All books with a map automatically get one star extra from me;)
You ever have such a big crush on a fictional character but you also ship them much more with another character and then you’re stuck in a dilemma halfway between “date me” and “no wait date them”
