Terri was standing around at the gas station overhearing on the news of a rogue escaping Arkham Asylum. Though it is not surprising that they escaped again, it was a revolving door at this point and everyone knew.
As the night went on Terri was still only moving for the usual people in the station. A new person appeared soon.
He was put together, like he dressed up to go to the gas station and his hair was combed back. Walking into the dead store under the faulty fluorescent lights he walked up to Terri.
“Hello darling, might I inquire about the mask?” He pauses before continuing, “Oh I do suppose that Scarecrow did escape.” He mentions the last person Terri would want to hear escape.
Terri makes little to no response to the well groomed man's words, simply poking their head out of the window and getting ready to go put gas into his car for him. He dutifully takes mental notes, eyes focused solely on the worker.
As Terri filled the car up the man’s eyes bore into their head making it hard to focus on any thoughts.
“Sir, might you stop staring at me as if you plan to murder me tonight?” Terri glances back at the stranger after asking. His smile was large yet not reaching his eyes.
“I do apologize for the staring darling. You just fascinate me with that mask of yours.” The man responds curtly, as a car comes whipping around the corner, passing by the soon followed by police vehicles.
Terri pays them no mind glancing at the meter and back at the car, their eyes manage to capture something off in the car. It was not their place to care yet it looked like a gas canister.
Terri's head turns towards the man, directly looking at him fully. Unsure what to say for exact but yet Terri knew the answer. Though not wanting to seem dangerous enough for him to kill outright Terri moves their thought away but the smile that was on his face was growing, as if he knew about Terri’s inner questions.
Terri started to take the nozzle out of the car, turning around to put it away just to find the man right next to them. Raising their head to look up at him, Terri felt as if they would not last too long tonight.
The man surprisingly did not attack Terri, his hand glides under the mask as if attempting to take the thing off. Terri was very sure of the man’s identity. It was Scarecrow. The last person Terri ever wanted to see.
Terri couldn’t move, between Scarecrow and his car Terri was unable to move. Terri planned to simply die at this point, that or a bat saves them, but Terri couldn’t count on them to save them at this point.
As he was unhooking part of the mask a gunshot rang out, and the man slowly collapsed. Terri looking at their savior saw it was the anti-hero bat, Red Hood. Terri stood for a moment before collapsing in on themself and feeling as Red Hood caught them and then the world went dark.
