A Quick Interview (ft. Prince Numbloc & Kipper Parfum
Whipping out a notepad from his briefcase and beginning to scribble, Numbloc sketched an outline of the sign that stood before him. "Thanks for Playing!" It read, in garish pink neons. Next to it was a tacky cutout of the show's host, King Dice. He scowled.
"Has this always been placed here?" he asked.
"Yes," Kipper replied meekly. "Though, it doesn't connect to any of the rooms in the building. It's purely decorative."
He raised an eyebrow. "Then what signifies this placement? Why would you have it nowhere near any of the marked exits?"
Kipper shook her head. "That's WINK's decision. I couldn't tell you why they do half the things they do. My guess is that the patrons will see it as they leave the airings."
Numbloc grimaced. He couldn't prove for sure that the little skunk he'd caught for some quick, simple questions about the place was lying, but it seemed like she was dodging each and every inquiry he fired at her. He noticed as she squeezed the rolled up paper in her gloved hands tighter, squirming under the impromptu interrogation. His eyes flicked between her, and the air vents that seemingly justā¦dumped into the alleyway. The scattered garbage littered around, and the peculiar staining on the cushions that seemed to line the brick streets.
"Surely, no person comes this way oftenā¦if they do, they're not attendees, for sure."
He made one more quick note on his scratch pad and then tucked it back into his coat. "If you don't mind, I'd like to come back with a few more questions tomorrow for you. There's just one or two things I need to piece together, that's all."
Kipper swallowed, looking at the ground. "I'll answer as best I can. Some things have to stay confidential. Butā¦ you know that already."
Numbloc knelt to the ground and began packing up his case again. "Oh, don't worry. You keeping your job is in my best interest. And you'll stay completely anonymous, of course." He straightened to his full height, preparing to depart as he turned his back.
