Hello, my name is Sheri. I am on a journey of trying to live with intention and bring my spirituality into everyday life, to take mindful moments when I can, but to also live each moment in a mindful way.

I am an avid crocheter and just recently have been making intentional crochet pieces. Crocheting with a purpose allows me to create things I love that really have a meaning to me. I am now excited to be making some of these items and send my purpose and intention out to you.

This will be my space to show and share what I am working on.

I may occasionally post about some of my other intentional interests like crystals, plants, herbs. Or any other flight of fancy that catches my eye.

Oh yeah ... and Fairy Gardens, I love me some Fairy Gardens (and mushrooms)

WIP Wednesday Lotus Mandala

I am creating some beautiful Lotus Mandala. Spending time crocheting this beautiful green mandala, adding in some Flower Agate and Moss Agate beads. Saddened at recent life changes, crocheting this lotus with intention for new beginnings and personal growth. To be prepared for what comes my way. To look past the fear and sadness so that I might still be open to joy. My life may be changing, but it could be a good thing.

Mindful Moment Critter Comfort

I took my mindful moment very early this morning when I woke up, but am sharing it now. I like to have been awake and centered before I check out any internet stuff.

I spent a few moments sitting with (but not too close) to some of my favorite yard critters that visit me often. Seeing and talking (sometimes singing) to all the amazing animals really help keep me grounded for the day, I feel almost a surreal kind of awe. I feel so blessed that they visit me and allow me to spend time with them in their space.

Mindful Moment: New Beginnings

Staying centered working on some intentional crochet. Crochet (or any form of creative art) is a great way to be in the moment and in balance with all that is around me. In this moment, as my life has drastically changed and in a state of upheaval, this mindful moment is welcomed.

With Moss Agate as my companion I am taking some mindful crochet moments to spend some time crocheting a green lotus flower. As I create I leave myself open to new beginnings, ready to face and embrace whatever comes my way.

Mindful Moment Wednesday July 8

I have a job interview in a few hours, first one in over 2 decades. I am quite nervous. Today's #mindful moment needs to be intentional.

Today I steep some Lemon & Ginger tea, mostly to settle my churning stomach. I brew it in my favorite comfort cup. As I sip this tea, feel the warmth from the cup. Breath in, breath out. Feel and listen to my surroundings. Don't think about the future, don't think of all the "should have done differently" things seeping into my mind. Breath in, breath out. Be in this moment.

Mindful Moment Tuesday, July 7

With so much uncertainty, one of my biggest fears is that I will forget to take some moments to connect my spirituality with my everyday living. Hoping to use this blog to commit to a daily "Mindful Moment".

Spent a few moments with my crystals today. The Rose Quartz and Black Tourmaline have become, more than anything, my comfort crystals. I have been carrying them daily for the last two years.

Lately my sense of safety and security have been knocked flat. I never dreamed at this stage of life that I would not know how much longer there'd be food in the fridge or my ability to keep the power bill paid. When I think about it too much I panic. For now I job hunt and make what I have stretch as far as I can.

Therefore the Sardonxy added to my pocket. This is the one I intuitively chose today from my crystal collection. The Sardonyx intention for me is courage and optimism. I can take things one step at a time, do what needs to be done .... and I will survive (I may have a panick attack or two along the way, but I will survive)

Black is a representation of forgiveness and absolution of past or present mistakes. It has many spiritual properties and is associated with cleansing, banishing, death, sadness, the unknown, elegance, power, virility, life-giving (earth in Egyptian myths, pantheon…etc.), fear, mystery, strength, authority, aggression, rebellion, sophistication, and sometimes evil. Black is also associated with the new moon and being a “blank-slate”, life has just begun anew in a sense. It does not give away its secrets easily. It is part of the hidden world where ancient mysteries reside. Black is necessary for all other colors to have depth and variation of hue.
