Haven’t been on Tumblr in a hot minute, but I figured why not come back and address the elephant in the room that this fandom keeps conveniently overlooking.
And JUST in case anyone’s wondering which elephant I’m talking about… here you go.
It’s clear that a narrative and agenda was being pushed by posting that picture, but the question I have for this fandom is: why is this considered okay? Why is it considered okay for him to feed into trashcookers when they’ve repeatedly proven that they will go to any length to degrade, disrespect, and drag Jimin?
Why is this behavior constantly being excused?
And let me make this abundantly clear: this is not hate, nor is it anti behavior. There is absolutely nothing wrong with calling out behavior, especially when this fandom willingly does it for certain members but suddenly draws the line when it comes to others.
Let's address another elephant....
I genuinely have to ask the big OT7 accounts this, because for the life of me, I cannot figure it out: what has Jimin done to deserve being discarded and mistreated by the very fandom he helped build? A fandom he has acknowledged time after time. A fandom he has shown endless love to despite the way so many of you continue to treat him.
And this has been an ongoing issue, especially since his solo debut. At this point, I honestly no longer doubt that it may have started even before then.
I genuinely thought that after their military service, things would change. That there would be growth and progress. But nope, we’re still in the exact same position, dealing with the same age-old nonsense.
Now listen, don’t come onto this post or into my DMs with any nonsense because I will not be entertaining it.
If you’re genuinely open to having a serious conversation, then by all means, engage. Because I truly want to understand why this fandom refuses to hold certain members and people accountable.
