Ester! she’s a bit over a year old, i think?

she’s one of my favorite kids, she’s a very cool shapeshifter who likes languages, lifting weights, and girls (she likes girls. a lot). she’s very kind and full of love for everyone (mostly everyone).

she has……a certain number of kids (everytime one of my characters lives very long i end up giving them a lot of kids. sorry) but at the point of her timeline i use/write for the most she has two, tsega and laylah (one is technically her adopted half-sibling but let’s ignore that), both shapeshifters too, and who tend to use their ability way more than her (who generally sticks to her real appearance) because they’re little pains in the ass and like me to suffer designing them thirty billion alternative appearances

she’s a linguist and on the side she organised and takes care of a help network for monsters and human-monster interactions (helping provide resources for monsters with particular needs, protecting monsters from humans and vice-versa, etc.). she’s jewish and also vegetarian, she tends to always feel a bit cold and generally wears big pullovers because of that and she has gauged ears. 

when she was young (23 or 24?) she barely survived a throat injury and her voice got wrecked. since then she has to shapeshift her throat to be able to speak, which is way more difficult for her than just shapeshift to another form entirely and means she can get distracted and let the shifted throat and vocal cords dissipate. she also goes mute independantly of that quite often, especially when she’s not feeling well, and even with the shapeshifted vocal cords her voice is hoarse, a bit rough, but pretty soft nonetheless.

hm also she studied a lot of animal and human anatomy for her shapeshifting (animal was mostly for things like seeing in the dark because come on if you could shapeshift wouldn’t you want to see in the dark) and she had to learn how to patch people up for when their anatomy was not close enough to human to let them go to the hospital so she’s also a very good field surgeon

ok i have like so much more to say about her BUT i might have gone a bit overboard already i’m sorry

also, and i feel this is the most important thing to know about her, i love her.

Muadhnait has actually become a HUGE part of my ‘story’ gameplay. I added the journaling mod around the same time and her name appears just as much if not more than Shane’s (who’s my be all end all I can never romance anyone else fav). Also, I’ve tried googling it, but can’t find a pronunciation. I’ve been pronouncing it in my head like Mwah-hid-noot, but would love to know the proper pronunciation!

for the pronunciation it’s something like moonat normally! someone suggested to me i add a sentence ingame pertaining to that because the pronunciation is a problem for everyone who doesn’t know irish, me included but i’m still thinking on how i want to do that (because ingame the characters all know how it’s pronounced unfortunately). i’m prolly gonna do something with sam and her nickname (which is muadhn but if i start writing it ‘moon’ ingame it’ll at least give a hint as to how the name is pronounced, i think? maybe, idk)

yes i am!! i’m so glad you like her! i’m still very fucking much speechless there are actually people who are playing with her and all, but

i’m working on a tiny update for her rn (i nicknamed it the rainy update because there’s like, 30 rainy dialogues. sorry) that’ll add a bit more dialogue and movie theater reactions (the last one is why it’s not already out i put all my imagination on, guess what, the rainy dialogues)
