hi !! I'm Vixen this is my Miscanis and Therian sideblog !! I use he/she pronouns as well as some neos. i'm 19!!

I'm a sigma (Dominant Omega) but still refer to myself as an omega. I'm a foxkin and an aviankin. Being a Therian and kinning is still very new to me. I use Keigo Takami aka Hawks (from mha) and Kaoru Sakurayashiki aka Cherry (from sk8 the infinity) lot to project my kin feelings.

you can expect lots of nestspo, miscanis posts, omegaverse hcs, heat rants, species dysphoria & kin memories in my posts. i may post some art but we'll see. there also will be light reblogs and references to the characters mentioned above since i do connect them to my therian experience. I really wish people would stop equating miscecanis blogs with omegaverse blogs. some miscecanids don’t mind it being referred to as omegaverse but some do! it is our identity, for some it’s just a part of our therianthropy, and we wish to be respected without pre-existing stigma and assumptions

For therians researching their identity! (and anyone looking up animals.)

There is a site, animalia.bio, that lets you not only check out animals you already know names of, but also search by habitat, genus etc.

It lists behavior, appearence, biomes in which the animal lives, shows distribution, climate zones and even lists characteristic traits (which you can click and find even more animals!!) like if the animal is nocturnal, nomadic, a predator, territorial, social or a migrant. You can also find diet, lifestyle habits and mating habits information.

So. In the lovely omega-verse, what exactly happens when someone is anosmic(has no sense of smell)? I’m kind of curious because a lot of the things seem to be very scent-based and some people (like me) have no sense of smell. Sorry if this is a bother or a stupid question!

That's such a cool question!

Because smell has higher importance in Omegaverse then it would be more significant if someone couldn't smell. Mostly smell is used in social situations as queues. People are able to use smell to determine someone else's general physical state or mood. Or if an area or item has some ownership significance.

I don't think it would lessen basic day to day living, at least in comparison of our world vs Omegaverse. In some verses betas can't smell as well as Alphas and Omegas and often miss social queues but aren't affected by pheromones that would otherwise cause trouble. In some everyone has the same sensitivity so it depends on the verse too.

I think the biggest impact it would have would be missing social queues. Facial expressions and body language would help with reading others but you'd be missing the smell component that's often found in that world.
