Thinking more about Lars X Stan, and how their first meeting could go. (Below break)
I have three different scenarios for how they meet. Either:
A) Stan moves in nextdoor, and they meet by chance when Stan is gardening or something.
B) Stan and Lars meet at church, completely by accident somehow
C) Lars and Stan in group therapy. (Or some other form of support group)
No matter what scenario I pick, the result is still basically the same. Stan is, well, Stan. A little loud and overwhelming upon first meeting Lars. He's quick to tone down his usual friendly nature though, into something more tolerable for Lars, and explains that he had a tendency to be a little bit much. They talk, and when I say they, I mean Stan basically does all the talking. He goes on his whole spiel about himself, and his water delivery business, and Lars is happy to listen, glad that, while Stan is basically just talking at him, there's no expectation to participate in the conversation aside from listening if he doesn't want. Stan isn't forcing eye contact, nor does he try to force a handshake or anything, it's just simple and easy introduction.
(I have more thoughts because this has taken root in my brain, but need to sort thoughts to make sense)
