It was quiet in the motel room save for the sounds of soft breathing and the tapping noise of a keyboard. Sitting in one of the uncomfortable chairs and typing away on his laptop, Sam gave a tired sigh and ran a large hand through his hair. It was one of those nights for the hunter, where he was exhausted yet unable to sleep. So to pass the time he'd began to do research for a possible hunt while his partner slept away in one of the motel beds. The hunter paused his typing and with a small tilt of his head looked towards the bed where his companion was sleeping soundly. The familiar form of Olidia laid peacefully in her bed, her chest rising and falling with each breath as she slept. Sam couldn't help but let out a small smile as he watched her. While she slept she looked like any other normal person.
Only she wasn't.
No Olidia Valree was anything but a normal person. Just like him, she was different from the rest. Olidia was a goddess, or rather more specifically the goddess of Life. A being as old as time itself, who had been sheltered from the world until very recently when Sam had dragged her away from her once isolated existence. It'd been an accident on his part, having unintentionally led his family to her forest while trying to get away from them in order to protect himself. In his moment of panic Sam had put Olidia in danger and in order to get to safety the goddess had been forced to leave the only home she'd ever known. Not that she complained, the young woman while nervous had refused to leave Sam on his own and thus the two had been stuck together ever since.
Sam frowned slightly as he thought about how Olidia had to leave her home and everything she'd ever known behind her just like him. Even though she had told him not to feel guilty over it, he couldn't help but dwell on it. If only he'd been more careful with his secret than he'd probably would still be hunting with his father and older brother Dean. He'd still have his secret meetings and training sessions with Olidia in her beloved forest where she'd teach him everything she knew about nature and life. Unfortunately lady luck didn't like Sam and he'd been discovered by his father. You see Sam Winchester was different from his father and older brother. He had a gift, a gift that put his life in danger with a family full of hunters.
Sam Winchester was a natural born witch. More specifically a witch with a knack for nature. All of his life Sam had the ability to make plants grow and thrive as well as other abilities only common in witches. And for a long time he'd dealt with it alone and unable to figure out how to control his magic. That was until he'd met Olidia. Once he'd stumbled upon the goddess and she'd agreed to teach him, the two began a beautiful friendship, one that still held strong even as they were on the run from people and monsters out to kill them. Sam was so lost in his memories that he'd failed to notice that the very person he'd been thinking about had woken up.
"Sam....? Why aren't you asleep....?"
Olidia asked in a sleepy voice startling Sam a bit. The witch looked at her and tried to give her a reassuring smile.
"I was just about to get ready to go to bed. Sorry for waking you up."
He said softly closing his laptop. Olidia waved a hand at him.
"No need to apologize....come lay with me so you will actually go to bed....."
She mumbled making Sam feel slightly embarrassed at having been caught. Even when half asleep the young woman knew that he would stay up. With a small sigh Sam got up from his chair and made his way towards the bed and got in next to his friend knowing that arguing with her would be pointless. As soon as he was under the blankets with her the small goddess snuggled up into his side and hugged him close, radiating warmth and comfort. Sam felt himself relax at her hug, the feeling of safety shrouding him. Olidia had always managed to make Sam feel relaxed with just a simple hug or touch.
"Goodnight Sam......sweet dreams....."
Olidia said softly in a drowsy manner before drifting into sleep again. Sam felt himself smile a bit at her and got more comfortable keeping an arm around her to give her the same comfort she gave him.
"Goodnight Oli."
Sam whispered back before closing his eyes to go to sleep, exhaustion finally winning out. Sam didn't know what the future held for him and his friend but he knew that as long as Olidia was there with him, he'd be able to face anything. After all......
Goddesses and witches stick together.
*Dust bunnies everywhere whoop. Okay so sorry this sucks it's been ages since I've written anything for Supernatural and for Olidia. I haven't been in the rping community for a good few years now so it took me a bit to get back into the Oli mindset. Now for context. Sam and Olidia are solely platonic in this, just two outcasts looking out for one another. Second this premise is loosely based off a very old rp I did with one of my old rping partners (I forget who they are blog wise and have no idea if they're even still on Tumblr so-). The only thing that was taken away from the rp was Sam being a witch. I kinda wrote this as writing practice basically. Sorry again if it sucks, and who knows I might write more for them in the future. Anyways if any y'all read this I hope you enjoyed it!*
