it really remarkable how after TWENTY YEARS the GOAT cartoon gets a comeback with a film, everybody is dying to see the rich dynamic of their found family again now all grown up and bryke and the executives really said; you know what the people ACTUALLY want? not rich dialog and deep insights into these beloved characters and what they have been up to, not actually showing us how they have been rebuilding the nations, not a plot resolving about their friendship and potential clashes... nah how about its about a rando new character clearly just a generic textbook OP villain that will be defeated by the end of the runtime with absolutely NO IMPACT –because he didn't exist when Lok was created– and the rest of Gaang is just there are nostalgia baits and action props while Aang gives shallow platitudes about forgiveness. 🤡 Also don't ask how a world leader like Zuko could afford playing chauffeur and Katara as council woman can just dip. Toph and Sokka got no important shit to do anyway apparently. Oh and the one plot beat that is significant; the reappearance of the sky bisons is essentially just a credit scene. There are just randomly here again 🤷‍♀️

Story was okay. Predictable, which isn't particularly a bad thing but it was whatever.

Hated they just blipped Mako's injury out of existence but liked that Mako doesn't really know who he is when he's not working or necessarily how to stop since he's been basically working his entire life.

If I had a nickel everytime the finale of a series in the Avatar universe involves a dark haired, older brother Firebender getting hurt by lightning while doing something brave and heroic, I'd have two nickels.

Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
