LATE ?? JUST HOW LATE WAS IT ?? The mage hadn’t been keeping track of time, it was dark out but that was obvious. She wasn’t expecting a visit from her parents back at home -- and as long as she was back by sunrise she should be fine to continue practicing. “ It’s easiest for me to practice when it’s late. ” The blonde answers truthfully, this was the only time she could really let herself go all out without fear. “ Where I’m from... 01. the magician: how does your muse feel about fate ? do they believe they can change their own destiny ?

WHEN IT COMES TO FATE, Lux isn’t sure how she feels about it. Why was she fated to have magical powers in a land that forbids it ?? She loves her magic, and the ability to use it. But it felt cruel to her that she would be gifted such a wonderful thing and not be able to show the world and help others with it. ( Or at least, she couldn’t in the world she was most familiar with. ) Did it mean that fate had other plans for her ?? Plans that would lead to her leaving her homeland – maybe even for good ?? Would she be ready for such a thing if that were to ever happen ?? Did she even have any choice when it would happen ??

She wouldn’t give up her powers for the world, even if it meant that she’d get to live a normal life. To live a life as a regular noblewoman that wasn’t shunned by her family for the powers that she was born with. As cruel as it was to be born into a world that hated everything she was she still wanted to nurture and enhance those abilities.

When it comes to changing her own destiny she wants to try. She refuses to be destined to sit quietly and hide her light from the world forever. Even if it meant uprooting herself from the world, saying goodbye to her brother and leaving Demacia. She doubted that they would change their views on magic.

LUX MAINLY RELIES ON HER heart and her mind when it comes to making decisions. There are times when her instinct will kick in and she will rely on that – but that is only some of the time. She does her best to think things through before doing something, as she wouldn’t want to end up going headfirst into danger. When it comes to things such as sneaking out and practicing magic she makes a thorough plan. When she’ll leave, the route she’ll take… when the best time to come home is. The last thing she wants to do is raise suspicion, especially when getting caught would more than likely mean death. She couldn’t be reckless in those types of situations even if she wanted to.

08. strength : how does your muse use their energy ? do they tend to work towards their goals steadily or in bursts ?

OVERALL, IT WOULD DEPEND on the tasks at hand that she is using her energy on. For a task like practicing her magic, it’s something that can only be done in secret. It’s something that she can only do in small bursts out of fear of being caught. But in almost all other situations I would say that she steadily works towards her goals. If there is something that she desperately wants to do – she will find a way to do it. She is a hardworking girl that gives her all for any tasks at hand, may it be something serious or something more trivial. When it comes to using her energy, she tries not to laze around ( at least for her main verse. ) And will often do menial tasks around her home just because it’s the only thing she can do to not make her feel as cooped up as she really is most of the time. Though that’s not to say that she doesn’t take time to relax and take things slow from time to time, she won’t work herself to the bone.

NEW BEGINNINGS WOULD BE both frightening and exciting for Lux. The thought of uprooting herself and starting new without much experience is frightening. She doesn’t like being alone, so depending on how she began her “ new beginnings, ” that could be hard on her too. However, new beginnings also would give her a sense of freedom she never had before. She’s used to having an eye on her, watching everything she does and reporting it when necessary. So being able to start fresh without anyone telling her what she can and can’t do ( along with the ability to use her magic as she pleases ) would be exciting to her.

Or at least, she wouldn’t so long as she didn’t have to. If she needed to fight back in self defense she would, even if it WAS another Star Guardian.

AS A DAUGHTER OF NOBILITY… she’s always been expected to respect those with authority. It is something that was ingrained in her since she was a small child – so naturally, she DOES respect those with power. Partially out of fear of what would happen if she didn’t and partially because it’s what she was told to do. As she grew older and learned more about the world around her the respect for some of those in power has waned. However, this isn’t something she would speak of publicly – as doing so would be a disgrace to the Crownguard name. So she’s forced to keep any thoughts against those in power to herself.

03. THE EMPRESS : does your muse have parental / nurturing figures in their life ? how do they impact them ?

BOTH OF LUX’S PARENTS ARE ALIVE – however, they are quite distant. They both are usually too busy with their own issues to pay any mind to her and her own, they always have been. Save for when it came to using her magic, of course, that was always a stark no. In fact, it was almost as though they were shunning her for her abilities – even though she couldn’t help that she had them. For most of her life she was used to the maids and butlers at her home watching over her as she grew up. She would be with her parents for events that they all needed to be together, but she was always to be by their side… and be silent.

Needless to say, she didn’t have the best relationship with her parents. This eventually led to her “ rebellious phase ” as it tends to be called. Which mainly just led to her sneaking out and practicing her magic in secret… far away from the grounds of her home. She thinks of them as family, but she doesn’t really have a bond with them – nor does she think that she ever will.

SHE IS NOT SURE JUST HOW LITERAL the other is being, was she talking about physical demons ?? Or was it demons of the mind ; the thoughts that could plague and consume someones entire being. Lux didn’t have any experience with the physical kind, she only knew of the tales that were told in taverns and spread all around Demacia. But even she was not immune to demons of the mind, the cruel words that were whispered in the worst of moments…

“The hell are ya doing here? Ya must really like sniffing for danger if ya found yourself down here.” First the alleyway and now the entrance to his pit. She was a weird girl, that’s for sure. Though, he knew not to take girls at face value. His ma and second in command can disprove that theory in a heart beat. He was scared of both of them when they got angry.

FIRST HE HAD FOUND HER IN THE ALLEYWAY -- now he was finding her like this. It certainly would appear that she had a knack to find herself in dangerous situations. Or at least it did to the eyes of strangers. The demigoddess is keeping herself from letting out a light laugh. Truthfully, she was just curious about the mortal realm. It had changed drastically since she had last really spent any time here. Simply put, she wanted to know more about it for as long as she had the chance. Time spent away from the lunar gates could only be done in small bursts -- it was her DUTY to protect it with her guardians, after all.

IT’S AS THOUGH THE LIGHT IS dancing on her fingertips, emitting a soft glow as the light weaves through her fingertips. The mage usually goes far, far away in order to practice her spellbinding in secrecy... and isolation. However this time, it seemed as though she hadn’t gone far enough. Thankfully, she didn’t seem to get spotted by a Demacian Guard or Soldier... so she was still safe. A bit taken off guard, but safe.

“ I... Yes, I am a light mage... ”

“It’s because people don’t really care to explore things that are close. Most of the time they get told old wives’ tales about places that are close to home. If anything, that place is just some weird ancient cursed place that no one should enter. And for all they know it can be true.” Closing the map and sliding it back into his back, he pointed to the other side of town.

“That gate leads to it, if you want, walk to it and wait for me on the other side. No one really comes and goes at this hour so it should be safe. The shop is on the way, but it’ll be easier for you to just wait at the gate so we can leave pretty quickly.” He knew she didn’t want to get caught from sneaking out. So, this to him was the best plan forward.

“ That makes sense... When you put it that way. ” The blonde would reply -- Lux knew far too well how people were. Spinning stories and tall tales about their surroundings to the point where things get so muddied you don’t know what’s true and what’s not anymore. She had been told such stories countless times, and she was sure that she’d hear many more in the future. “ If somebody is told that a place is cursed... I doubt that they would want to risk their chances and see how it really is. They’re just betting on the person they’re talking to fearing the unknown... ” Or at least, that’s how she was understanding it.

She glances in the direction of the gate he’s talking about. It would be better for her to just wait where it was safe -- where she wouldn’t get caught. It would be the best course of action. “ I can do that. I’ll be waiting for you on the other side. How long of a wait do you think it’ll be ?? ” Even if it wasn’t a place many frequented at this hour -- she didn’t want to wait alone for him for TOO long.
