Maybe this is just proof of parallel universes

But a lesson on how they are not supposed to collide

Sometimes I lay awake at night and think

I have to build a bridge between us even if my tears fill the passing underneath

Because I can’t keep hoping I wake up to good mornings and fall asleep to your good night

It may never happen anywhere but my dreams

I’ve drilled patience into every opening of your inconsistencies

I painted every behavior with its reasoning

I favored the idea of riding your storms so much more than anyone else’s calm

I studied you so I could show you the love you never got

It’s so poetic yet for some reason feels so tragic
