Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Crimson Lotus Blooms: A reverse alternate universe for Demon Slayer. Nezuko Kamado becomes a demon slayer to protect the innocent and avenge her family - as well as find a way to turn her brother Tanjiro back into a human. It's an interesting story where minor characters are now major, heroes are now villains, and Nezuko has a cool sword~
Legend of Masks: This is a retelling of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Rather than the hero, Link, coming from Hyrule and stumbling upon Termina, our hero was born in this land. And she must save her home or watch as her loved ones die again, again, again, again. (Tumblr posts tag)
Mitaño Mod Stories: This isn't actually a fanfic and instead a series of short stories associated with our OMORI mod. I only write these stories for promotional means (like for ship weeks or other fandom events), so they won't be updated regularly. Hi, everyone!! I noticed some new followers, so I should probably make a post explaining the fic situation... So I'm gonna list all my fics and let you guys know the level of priority in working on new chapters!!
Legend of Masks: High muse, high priority!! These chapters will get more focus than the others.
to be announced: (not posted yet but...) Significantly less priority than LoM, but this fic will still be an interest of mine, so I'll be cranking out chapters...slowly...
The Shrine of Your Lies: Medium priority!! I haven't forgotten about this fic and I'm still going to be working on it, but my interests are currently on Linkette right now..!!
Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Crimson Lotus Blooms: Low priority/hiatus!! This AU was made by myself and two other people, and that makes it hard to write a fic for it. Collaborations are difficult...so this fic is on pause. For now~
Mitaño Mod Stories: Low priority/seasonal!! New chapters for this series of oneshots will only be dropped for special occasions (like milestones or ship weeks or etc.) So... Don't expect much LOL!!
On top of all of this, I also run a (private) roleplay blog that has WAYYYY more priority than even LoM. I only write fic chapters when I'm caught up in writing on that blog, and so chapters will always take a while. I'll appreciate any patience you can spare for me..!!
So I didn't realize "Pink Link Girl" was a thing when we made Linkette and Pink... Pink doesn't even have pink hair, she just wears the color a lot so it's her nickname (her real name is Rose)....and Linkette just has standard Link blonde hair...
i am realizing the missed opportunity for Pink but what can you do.......
Remember how kid Malon and adult Malon are two different people in Termina? I'm thinking the Termina version of adult Link and adult Zelda are Linkette and Pink's parents... Which doesn't mean anything, it's just something cute for ZeLink shippers XDD
ANYWAYS, this next Legend of Masks chapter is gonna be a bit tricky..!! It will include the first three days. So... First I'm going to play the three days to make sure the timing for everything I want to include lines up. Then I'll have to go back and play it all AGAIN as I write so I'll have every bit of dialogue while writing the chapter.
Plus... I want to get this chapter out before working on any other fics, soooooo........bear with me here XDD
Fun LoM fact!! Linkette's dad is probably the best swordsman in Termina... But he isn't the head of the guard, he's just a soldier. Why? First of all, the captain is his friend and he has full faith in his abilities, so he has no means to take his job. And secondly... He has two young daughters. Being the captain would put him in more dangerous situations, and he needs to make sure he can come home every day to his girls.
(For those who don't know, this fic is a retelling of Majora's Mask with a unique reincarnation of Link~)

She walked, and walked, and walked. Tatl flew alongside her. Linkette kept the rose firmly in her grip; it felt like she was holding her sister’s hand as they walked along the path. There were leaves up above and trees lining the walls…or were the leaves down below and the dirt path the ceiling? As Linkette walked, it felt like her world was turning like a kaleidoscope… And the silence that hung in the air caused her thoughts to wander over all that happened to her.
She tried to digest it. It made her feel sick. Or was it the way the world seemed to be turning, a steady rotation that left Linkette unsure of what was up, down, real, or imaginary.
Lost… That’s what she felt. Goddess, she felt so cold…

To all of you reading my fic Legend of Masks (and to any of you who are interested) here's a more in-depth character analysis of my main character, Linkette!!
As you guys probably already know, Linkette is an original iteration of Link. Ocarina of Time splits into three timelines, and Majora's Mask takes place in the timeline where Link is sent back to being a child. Linkette's story (and her existence) takes place in the timeline where Link remains an adult, so he never goes to Termina. Linkette is the "Termina" version of Link (like how so many other people are swapped with other Hylians).
Linkette is a bit of a unique "Link" because she's naturally more serious. I haven't played all of the games, but many games have a common thread where Link can be kinda silly and not traditional "hero material". Linkette is not that way. Even as a child, she's more serious than other child Links and she's EXTREMELY driven. The only times she acts like a normal child her age is when she's with her family. Otherwise, she's naturally more mature than normal.
Throughout the span of the fic, Linkette is going to get more and more serious (spoiler alert I guess..??). So I think it's safe to say she's definitely one of the most serious and strict Links. As an adult, she rarely speaks and is VERY intimidating with how strict she is. Many of the guards fear her. So my goal in writing this fic is trying to bridge the gap between first chapter "happy 10 year old with her family" to THAT.... And I hope I can do it well!!
Although her personality is different than (child) Ocarina of Time Link, she is almost IDENTICAL to him. It's just that she's a girl instead. Her hair is long and reaches mid-back, her features are a bit softer and her lashes are a bit longer, but other than that? Pretty much the exact same. Even down to the clothes!
Majora's Mask works because Link is already a hero when he gets to Termina, so he already knows all of the combat skills that he learned in OoT. Linkette doesn't have that luxury. That's why while pretty much all of the other Links have relatively minimal combat training, Linkette has been extensively training even before the start of the story. When her father or mother wasn't teaching her, she was practicing on monsters. See? Extremely driven. That's why she's already so good! And she'll only get better!
So here's a brief history of Linkette's origin... Legend of Zelda was my first ever "fandom", and Linkette was my first ever OC. WAYYY back in 6th grade, almost ten years ago. Back then, she was just a female version (genderbend?) of Link. But by 8th grade, I decided to give her a semi-unique story by making her the hero of Majora's Mask when it isn't Link. As for Pink... When I first made Linkette, I was young and my sister was even younger, but I didn't want to be alone in the "oc process". So my (what, 6 or 7 year old?) sister made Pink! At that point, her only character trait was that she was Linkette's younger sister and she happened to look a LOT like my sister who made her. She was even named after her favorite color! But both sisters have gone through a LOT of development, just as my real sister and I have~ So you can see why this story and these characters mean so much to me!!
This story WILL have a ship...but it won't really go anywhere since. You know Linkette is ten. But there will be some cute fluff and elementary-age crushing~ You guys just have to wait and see!!

It was a little song I came up with and sang to Inosuke all the time. Of course, the lyrics changed depending on what was happening or how I was feeling, but the melody was always the same. Just like how it started. I gave each tiny pinkie a squeeze, causing Inosuke to burst into a fit of giggles - he really seemed to love pinky promises.
"Pinky promise, pinky promise, your fingers are so cute, you give the best pinky promise~" I continued to sing, making up the lyrics as I went and moving Inosuke’s little hands up and down like a dance, until I suddenly heard a voice behind me. '
Hey, everyone!! To those of you who have been waiting for an update to The Shrine of Your Lies (or any of my fics tbh), thank you for your patience!! I meant to update SoYL last week (like Thursday or Friday) but my mom's birthday was this weekend AND we got two new dogs for a total of four doggies at our house!! So... I've been busy XDD
ANYWAYS, I've been working on the next chapter and it will hopefully be ready in a few days!! After that, I'll work on another chapter of Legend of Masks, and then maaaaybe Crimson Lotus Blooms..?? If you guys are interested..??
