Did Not Realize I had not posted here in almost a year oops.. Been working on a large project thats not ready to be show yet but im having fun so theres that at least.
Deciding on how to damage and show the internal structures of a object is difficult on my brain!
Took over a week to paint this on top of the time spent sculpting and printing it so pretty happy I can move to the next project now!
"Herd Warlord on wartrike" is a proxie i intend to use for my 40k (p)orks. Next up for the Herd is make some warbikers!
If you long for the days of sprawling heroscape boards and have a 3d printer?
Well youre in luck cause these fellas are pretty neat!
Beginner set of stack able 3d hex tile terrain for ttrpgs and terrain building. Includes Flat tile - One Hex Flat tile - Two Hex Flat
The starter set includes everything you need to start making large scale terrain
Additional accessories such as water, rocks, cliffs, ruins, ect will be added in the future.
After having four of these melt on me when in use. i think its time to switch to a metal gear
Im honestly not really sure what to do with my Rc car designs at this point. I have two different functional 1:10 vehicles that i continue to work on and im already planning on making a third. Are other people even interested in 3d printing rc cars? if i did let people make them itd mean i would have to make parts lists though rather than "uses random space stuff I had"
First real run/shakedown led to some easily foreseeable damage!
I had extended this piece away from the body to allow more room for the sway bar connector but this made the part really weak by creating a pivot point. Every time the vehicle landed the force wanted to push that piece towards the body leading to a stress fracture on both sides.
Easiest fix is back fill the area to have material so theres no space between the body and the connection it'll still want to pivot inwards but instead should put all that force into the main plate
Been working on designing a new RC car. Some metal components are used but 95% of it is designed to use printed components.
Now that its running I need to thoroughly test the beastie
Ive successfully ran a few batteries through the car to test how its going to hold up to rough driving with good results.
Next is replace all the linkages before swapping the chassis and body fully.
So positive side is the assembly all fits together however theres some clear changes that need to happen
The steering arm is too short causing massive toe out on the front which is not something I want. Additionally the swing arms are too long for the bar length causing the Tbone to sit almost outside the cup which will cause issues and damage during use.
Completed the rear axle assembly and almost done the front diff case assembly
Been slowly designing and replacing all of the parts of my rc. The solid rear axle has been the most complicated so far for sure but its close to correct now!
Does it count as designing my own Rc if I fully ship of Theseus my man?
Pretty sure this counts as a crafting picture!
First adventure session fully using Knight's Tail went pretty great. Everyone had a fun evening and seemed fully engaged with the story being told.
Nobody guessed the murder mystery was secretly a monster flick the whole time. The creature was following them through the investigation.
Might be pushing some kind of limit on how large i should be making these...
The shape of this building is going to be a bit wild but I think it'll be fine.
First adventure in the system sunday, woo!
