A older white woman that lives in the building called the cops on us saying that we were squatting in the apartment. They came and asked to see a lease I don't have one because we aren't staying in this apartment we are just placed here while our apartment gets renovated. I explained that to the cops and also showed them messages between me and the super and landlord and showed them the keys . But they said that's not proof we need to actually show the apartment number and my name signed smh. I called the super and the landlord office but no answer and now they told us that we have to leave til we have proof that we have permission to be here. I called my old neighbor in the Bronx and she said we could come spend the night at her house. We need a cab to get there .

I've spoken to the landlord he apologized for what happened. And told me our apartment is clear for us to go back to. We have a lot of bags of groceries and all of our stuff from the apartment we were staying in .we are going from the Bronx to Brooklyn we just need a ride to get there cause my old neighbors husband isnt able to take us

But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base. Blame the business for allowing the behaviour.
Businesses see that their cis customers are getting bothered over a badge and may clarify trans-inclusive policies, so they can kick out the bathroom botherers instead of nice cis allies.
You only need to buy and wear the badge, and you are protecting trans people. You can be genuinely heroic. Even one cis person doing this helps, and everyone you get to join in helps even more.

Patriarchy wants you to believe that being a woman and/or having a vagina (patriarchy generally believes those two things are synonymous) makes one shatter on impact with reality. It makes you easier to control if you are scared shitless of the other half of the population, and it makes you more compliant with your lot in life if you believe it is in the nature of the other half of the population to rape and kill rather than realise those were choices those individual rapists and murderers made. There is no way to make gender essentialism progressive and feminist, because it is one of patriarchy's tools of subjugation. Stop trying to make it progressive.
And I can scream all of that from the rooftops over and over again, and what I hear in reply is "Trans men really are men because no woman would ever decide to become an inherently evil repugnant rapist ape", and "You're so right.
