I may be posting about Halcy-Con right before it happens, but I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I first got my ticket to go ✨

Time is funny like that. I remember thinking that it would take eons before the day finally came. And now we’re here, and I’m packing my suitcase, and it’s suddenly real!

I can’t wait to be surrounded by friends, familiar faces, and fellow fans gathering to celebrate it together… as one! 😆

I’m aiming to share highlights from the con on here after I get back and sort through the photos I took. Also I’m super excited to be talking Starcruiser fanfiction with fellow fic writers in the panel below 👇

(While I’m not a fan of mean-spirited negativity towards Starcruiser, I do absolutely love it when Universal makes cheeky nods to closed Disney rides, so this got a good chuckle out of me 😆. Can’t wait to see this in person when I pick my pass back up!).

For some reason rumor is going around that the Star Wars Hotel (the Galactic Cruiser) didn’t have fire escapes????

There were clearly marked fire escapes.

This right here is probably the worst thing to come out of that video because it’s inarguably wrong 😮‍💨. There are exits everywhere.

I also shared photos from my cruises as well—I wasn’t even trying to take photos of the signs on purpose (goes to show they were there! And clearly marked 😂).

My favourite thing about the maker/cosplay side of fandoms is when a physical version of something never even existed, and fandom still goes "challenge accepted!" and fabricates it into real life for the first time anyway.

Star Wars fanfiction and fan artists should work the Galactic Starcruiser into their work as often as possible to remind everyone of how bad Disney fumbled the bag on that project.

I want a Knives Out-style locked door mystery on the Galactic Starcruiser.

Water wait wait, I love this idea 😆 It really is such a good setting for a Knives Out kind of story. I already know who the murderer is 💀.

Our little niche corner of Star Wars has been hard at work writing Starcruiser fanfiction and fanart but heck, it would be wonderful to see more of these awesome characters!

I know how many people who went on the attraction got attached to the lore and we really should keep that rolling. It shouldn’t be just The Princess and the Scoundrel and Midnight Horizon being the only lasting legacy.

Absolutely 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 There’s so much lore, it’s insane. We still don’t know all the backstories for each of the Saja 🤔 The official books like P&S only scratch the surface.

The nice part about it is that anything you want to know about these characters is a vlog away. Or a gifset. Or a meta post. Majority of my Starcruiser fanfics were written before I got to go, and my space-faring only validated the impressions and lore I gathered from the footage 🙌🏻
